Why not do your own research on the subject, instead of asking strangers to do your homework for you?

Taoism is a lot like the beliefs of Luke sky walker.

Taoists believe: we are created from elements: earth, fire, wind, spirit, and water

Taoists believe all things have soul/spirit except for insects and plants

Taoists believe in a nameless formless God known as the Force

Taoists believe in standing up for yourself, even if you are young.

Taoists dint focus on afterlife, because none of us are dead yet:P

Taoists revere the element of water, for Lao Tzu said be still like water

Taoists practiced alchemy at one time, and they practice the martial arts of Tai-chi and Akita.

Taoists believe in yin - yang, that no one is truly good or truly evil. that people have many shades of Grey.

Yeah, it takes a lot to explain. Just go ogle the word. If you need some stuff explained then ask a specific question.

Your best bet would be to do a search. It is far too complicated to type up enough for a paper on here.

It basically says there is an ultimate cause for everything and all things are made from it and work because of it but it does not consciously do any of those things.

Through the manifestations of Tao we can learn to understand it and learn to live in accordance with it.

Taoism, the mainstream religion of china, is a form of animism, a nature as god religion and where the saying "go with the flow" comes from as in go with the flow of the Tao for if you do, all will be good. it is when one resists the flow of Tao that unhappiness and discord begin. i think as a philosophy, Taoism has it pretty much right. that is, Taoism does not subscribe to supernatural beings and makes no claims as to why or how, the universe came into being...it simply is!

We follow the Way. If we say we don't we only continue to. My way may not be your way, but meditation may make it that way. Many say they follow the way, but we can only say, we can not know. To know is not the way, it's what you say. Hey, it's late, nearly the end of the day!

I gotta go back to my paper route. Hailku, sister!
