They are full of riddles. The word confusion probably came from Confucious. But things had to be kept under a veil of mystery for a long time. Because if we knew how powerful we are as physical/spiritual beings. Along with human nature to be jealous and want revenge. We would have wiped ourselves out by now. The basic idea behind all religions is to overcome the ego. The everything is about me. That gets offended easily. Thinks it knows everything better.
Stop trying to figure it all out, and learn to enjoy the moment. That is the essence of it.
