Yes, it does have different sects in Taoism(just as there are in all religions).

However, I can only remember the name of only one:

The Ascended Masters.

From the Daoist belief, there are many branches, schools, and practices. Many people are adopting the study of Dao in many various forms. "In the Daoist small worldly paths they don?t cultivate longevity. What they do is all about fortune-telling, Deng Hui reading, exorcising evil, and healing people, and most small worldly paths use sorcery." copied from page #105 in the Zhuan Falun Lecture on the web.

In addition to the novice level of Daoist practice, there is also martial art such as Tai-Chi and Ba Gua schools. Unfortunately the movements are taught but the real teaching was lost. New trend of organic food and be with nature also reflect and coincide with the Daoist belief.

Not relating to Buddhism nor Daoism, Falun Gong is a unique school, combining the Daoist and Buddhist practice. Falun Gong was found in 1992 by Master Li Hongzhi in China. About 100 million followers like the practice in over 80 countries worldwide. Falun Gong is an ancient practice for the body, mind, and spirit based upon the universal principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance. Falun Gong consists of five sets of powerful exercises.

Falun Gong, Tibetans, other Buddhists, and Daoists have been persecuted in China. The most offensive human right violation is the organ harvesting from the Falun Gong practitioners in China. Can you kindly sign a petition to stop persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China, please ?
