Question for people who's religion is taoism, spiritualism, mysticism, shamanism, and
What are your beliefs? Do you believe in gods and goddesses? Angels? Demons? Heaven? Hell? Spirits? What holidays do you celebrate? What types of rituals do you have? Do you have to sacrifice animals? I just need help in finding out about these religions because I believe in all of the above and I am not a christian, yet not a Wicca. Kind caught in between and I am searching for a religion that I feel suits me. One that I feel comfortable with deep down in my heart. I also believe in reincarnation, but I don't think it has to happen. I think it depends on the situation. But it would be really nice if you could help explain your beliefs to me so that way I can decide which one would suit me most or if they even come close to what I believe.
20 multiple choice questions, and it gives you a list of religions and philosophies which best suit you with write-ups for each one. I've found it to be quite accurate.
I practice Wicca, and I was not really referred to, but here goes: We do not sacrifice animals.
We do not believe in heaven, hell,Satan, the devil,or angels.
We do believe in reincarnation, and I hope you wish to learn more. You sound very open- minded.
Blessings,
Erica
I'm pagan. I believe in many different Gods and Goddesses. No angels, no demons. NO Heaven no hell. No animal sacrifice. Holidays, the typical 8 Sabbaths of the year as seen in Wicca though I do not practice Wicca.
I follow a mixture of Zoroasterism and paganism. For me it fits. Message me if you would like more info.
I am tame ran Wicca, a loose form of criticism in the Wicca format. I honor the Egyptian pantheon. I believe in reincarnation, the Law of Three, karma, etc etc. Angels, Demons, Heaven, and Hell do not exist to me. Spirits yes, an afterlife yes. I do mostly meditative rituals and spell casting once in awhile. Animal sacrifice is a big NO NO to me.
In all honesty, be spiritual for now. if your meant to follow a specific path/religion you will find it. Just don't rush it.
I'm an eclectic pagan. That means I have picked up bits and pieces here and there from non-mainstream faiths. My core is I guess Taoist. With a slice of Zen thrown in. A dash of pantheism. And a shot glass of Discordianism.
Basically that means I attempt to enjoy what I have. Life as it is. I aim to take pleasure in the things I have such as a sunny day, a nice cup of coffee or a hot shower and not fret about what I don't have.
I attempt to go with the flow, live in the now. Though being a Discordian I tend to get blown about a bit by the winds of chance and whim. It's a bit like sailing really. Only on applejack rather than water!
My Goddess is archetypal (which is to say she represents certain qualities rather than actually existing in the material Universe) which makes me an atheist. I don't believe in an 'afterlife', spirits, angels and so on. It doesn't worry me that I don't have an answer to where we all came from or what it's all about. I'm happy just dealing with what I can see, smell, touch and feel. The rest? Just intellectual games IMO.
Does that help? I hope so. Thanks for your question.
