Well when u buy something from abroad that's called importing..

Import of goods do not come under VAT regime whereas you will surely have to pay Customs Duty..

Also, if you are going to sell the same within India then I feel you should pay VAT..

In general, when importing goods, you will have to pay the import duty on it. If you are importing it for sale, you may have to pay the applicable sales tax too, but you can recover that at the POS, obviously.

Ask a friend to send it for you and say it's a gift...
