they all have repeating patterns of letters,
assess..... Seuss
banana..... Anna
dresser... . Reese
grammar..... Rama
potato..... Otto
revive..... Evvie
uneven.... Nefen
voodoo.... OdoIosee how the words are like mirror images when the first letter is taken off? when u get a quesiton like that, dont just think what do their definitions have in common, but their spellings also.

assess (SS)

It's already been said, but by removing the first letter of each, you create what is called a "palindrome," which is just a fancy way of saying a word that is spelled the same backwards and forwards.

By the way, the correct spellings are "grammar" and "potato."

Take the first letter off, put it at the end, and you have the same word splat backwards. (Reading it backwards!)
