Can a Christian wear voodoo amulets or can a christian practise voodoo ritual?

Magic is 90% belief, if a christian believes in the power of hands on healing, and that they can dance with snakes and God will protect them, then they have the ability to work magic in its historic sense. So, can they practice voodoo? I suppose they could but the rituals often require paying homage to other Gods and Goddesses which would go against their commandments.

The question then would become..."can a christian practice voodoo and stay within the tenants of Christianity..." To this I would say no.

magic is divided into three basic groups. necromancy and divination. (those are the basic two but i add a third, entertainment (which falls under necromancy really)) God says stay away from it. if its just for entertainment, like making a coin disappear or a chosen card show up in your wallet, fine, no worries. if it is spiritual - and voodoo is a religion of magic - then no way. i suggest you stay far away from it and pray and read your bible. double check this with someone who is in the ministry... I do not think you are supposed to practice voodoo b/c then you will be giving power to a spirit other than God...and God already said no false idols.

No, in my opinion, they can't. If they are Christian, they would find voodoo as nonsense and of the devil most likely..If you are Christian, why are you even trying voodoo? To do any kind of magic, referring to voodoo or any religion involving magic, you must keep an open mind and devote yourself to that solely for it to work correctly. If you don't know what your doing, then don't attempt it because it will come back on you even worse, I know this seeing as that I am a Wiccan and I do practice magic rituals..A Christian's mind, in my opinion, and I could be totally wrong, is too closed..They aren't always so willing to accept other religions or beliefs, so, in this instance, I would say, absolutely not. If you do not follow the religion and devote yourself to it fully, do not partake in it's rites or rituals, and definitely dint wear they're symbols!
