Does anyone know anything about Voodoo?

I would like to know what are the techniques used to trap people's shadows in a mirror and how this can affect those people's lives. I would also like to know what role Voodoo dolls play in dealing with people's lives.

The shadow thing, and voodoo dolls are primarily superstition that have very little to do with voodoo, along with most stuff people have seen and heard about the religion. Voodoo is a religion based from West Africa. The core functions of Voodoo are to explain the forces of the universe, influence those forces, and influence human behavior. Voodoo's oral tradition of faith stories carries genealogy, history and fables to succeeding generations. Adherents honor deities and venerate ancient and recent ancestors. In the Americas, it became combined with Catholicism to what we know in the US as voodoo, which came primarily from Hati, as stopping point used for slave traders.

Voodoo was used to cure and not to harm or kill. The dolls were made with ready made holes for the sticks to go in.
