A very good recommended reading list for Wicca:

Most of these books can be found at Amazon
http://www.amazon.com/
Or ordered from your local bookstore.

A good book for Wicca is "Wicca:A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner" by Scott Cunningham. As far as Santeria and Vodou are concerned it is best to learn from a Santeria(a) in Santeria or a Mambo or Hougan in Vodou. The practices differ from house to house in the religions. You may read it one way and then when part of a house learn it a different way.

I do know that most of the stuff about Santeria is either not true or way off. A true practitioner would not talk about the religion like that. Santeria is a very quite religion. You may want to visit a botanic to see about learning. However the owner may not practice Santeria. I have not been able to find a practitioner in my area. I gave up on reading about it because of the differences in the practices.

As far as Vodou is concerned it is almost the same thing. You can read all you like but each house practices differently. Once I expressed a genuine interest in the religion the path was opened up for me by my ancestors. I can give you the website of the Susette I belong to. Mambo Yves Zo is a wonderful, caring, intelligent person. Trust me if she wasn't I would not be part of the house. The link will take you to articles she wrote about Vodou. http://www.sosyetedumarche.com/Vodou_Info/vodou_info.html
