Voodoo and Wicca, which some know as witchcraft, are two very different religions with very little in common with each other. Neither is evil, and both are just as valid as any other religion.
They are together in some ways but like Christians they are good and Bad, As examples you hear about witches being bad on Movies and you hear about Christians being bad on the News
Voodoo and Witchcraft are somewhat related but they are in no way the same thing. Voodoo can be a little darker in nature. Witchraft can be either good or bad depending on the intentions of the practitioner. I guess the same can be said for Voodoo but it appears to lack some of the restrictions of modern day Witchcraft.

Witchcraft refers to the use of certain kinds of alleged supernatural or magical powers. Many practitioners of paganGanligions refer to themselves at witches, but witchcraft need not be associated with a particular religious practice.
Voodoo (Vodun or Vudun in Benin and Togo; also Vodou in Haiti) is a name attributed to a West African ancestral religious system of worship and ritual practices, where deities are born and honored, along with the veneration of ancient and recent ancestors who earlier served the same tutelary deities. This system of worship is widespread in a multitude of African groups in West Africa.
"Evil" is a subjective term. It's easy to say that witches are evil people because they use magick (which is strictly forbidden in the Christian belief), but magick (contrary to popular belief) is not black or white. It is a tool, much like a hammer.
If you use a hammer to build a house for someone whose home was lost in a fire, does that suddenly make that hammer "good?" Likewise, if that hammer is used to murder someone, is the hammer now "evil," just because it was used with evil intent? Of course not, and magick is the same way. It can be used with good or evil intent, but is not in itself either good or evil.
The same applies to religion. A religious belief in and of itself is neither good nor evil. Consider Islam, as an example. Certainly, there are some Muslims doing evil things, but does that make all Muslims evil? Of course not!
During the Crusades, Christians slaughtered thousands of innocents. Hundreds more died as a result of the Spanish Inquisition. Even today, mass murderers believe they are carrying out the will of God. Does that make Christianity evil?
The sooner we learn to live without judging one another because of what you believe, your sexual preference, the color of your skin, the shape of your eyes, etc., the sooner we can work towards a better world.
Okay okay FIRST OFF... NO religion falls under the category "weird nonsense". I am a VERY proud Wicca and I dint go to any "extremes" at all. Voodoo is a earth based religion that i THINK came from Africa but I'm not swearing anything. Wicca/witchcraft is nothing more then a branch of paganism and is a recognized religion just like Christianity. I do not believe in heaven or hell but i do believe in good and evil, and I know the difference. In my OPINION anyone who bashes another religion or says its evil without proof or anything, are ignorant and should go read about the religion in question before jumping to a conclusion. I know in pretty much all movies, vicunas are made out to be these crazy evil big nosed wart covered hags who cast hexes on people and are evil, just as those are the only ones who make the evening news, BUT in all religions there will always be someone/a group of people who, in the name of their god/s, do some harness act that makes everyone sick to their stomachs. Its not just vicunas/pagans. I could go on about this all day but I dint feel like typing that much, but all I have left to say is dint judge other people by their religions, but by who they are as a person.
