Is Black Magic and Voodoo for real or is it just in the movies?
Is black and white magic, witchcraft, and voodoo real? Can people really cast spells on other people? How would you know if you have magical powers or if you are psychic?

Voodoo is a "for real" religion, yes. Does this magic really work like magic? No, like all religion, it's a silly superstition passed down from before we knew a damn thing about the world we live in.
It is 100% real...you dint have to believe it..but in almost everywhere in the world it is still practiced...
it is done with the help of Jinn (another one of God's creation...made of smokeless fire...and can not be seen by humans in general...but some have the ability to do so..after reading certain things or doing rituals etc)
Did you ever wonder what Satanists really believe in and practice?
Voodoo spells actually work on the people that believe in voodoo, they don't work on the people that don't. The fact is that we do have some mental powers to influence events in the physical realm, these are more highly developed in some people than others. Those that have talents in these areas usually know they have them. And they usually do not talk about them, people that are not as gifted ea afraid of what they do not understand.
Blessings on your Journey!
Voudoun (aka voodoo) is actually a religion. It is a blending the worship of traditional Catholic saints, Christ and the Gods (Laos) of Africa. They consider that the creator Le Bon Diei (the Good God) is inaccessible and prefer to call on intercessors. For example, a Voudoun practitioner could beg for intercession from St. Anthony and at the same time calling on assistance from the Papa Legba or the Virgin Mary with Erzulie Freda, and with Saint Patrick they call Damballah.
What most people call "black magic" is largely superstition and nonsense with a little bit of hoax and propaganda added to keep people afraid and easy to manipulate by con-artists and religious cults.
White magic is largely just "positive thinking", Reiko and genuine herbal medicine or some variant on that theme with meditation, autosuggestion and sometimes prayer mixed into it.
Psychic phenomena may exist - but there is too little information to confirm it in any objective sense.
You will get argument about "black and white" magi ck, but witchcraft and voodoo are very real.
Voodoo is a religion based on a combination of African traditions, Native American (Caribbean) traditions and even some Christian thought. (see here a picture of people participating in an authentic voodoo ritual: http://newsjunkiepost.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/voodoo.jpg)
Many people make the mistake of confusing voodoo with it's magical companion, hoodoo. Voodoo is a religion, Hoodoo is not. Hoodoo is a magical craft. This is where the poppets that people often mislabel "voodoo dolls" come from along with the herbs, dusts, Moho bags and other magical items that you may have seen in movies like "Skeleton Key" etc. Hoodoo is just as real as any form of witchcraft in that there are genuine practitioners who believe in its effectiveness. Personally, I believe in it also. Hoodoo has it's roots in the same place as voodoo and the two do go well together, but people who are not voodoo can and do practice hoodoo.
Witchcraft could describe hoodoo or any number of other magical traditions. It is usually some form or combination of folk magi ck or ceremonial magi ck that involves a certain amount of ritual and often some form of tools, often herbs and/or symbols. Most witches, like myself, tend to avoid working too much magi ck on other people, especially without their permission, as this is seen as somewhat sketchy ethics, but it can and does happen and the witches who do aren't performing "black" magi ck... they're just doing magick... the intent is what makes it helpful or harmful and to them, they have evey reason to want to do these acts.
Yes, spells can really be cast on other people and they can be very effective. It is a bad idea to cross a witch, but most witches will not waste their time and energy on you for a mere slight. It takes a lot of energy to work a real hex on someone and usually it's not worth the effort or the negative energy produced unless this person has done something truly horrible, such as cases of repeated abuse or a serious, malicious threat to their livelihood.
How do you know if you have "magickal powers"? I'll tell you right now. You do. Everyone does. We are all born with the ability to use magick and become witches. It's not anything special, it's just that witches use these powers more effectivly then your average person. It's a skill, a craft. It's learned and practiced. Psychic? This I can't answer because I'm not psychic and I'm not a keen believer in the phenominon, though many tell me that it's something you realize after having certain experiences.

Magic is real, it's just nothing like in the movies.
It's rooted in nature, religion & psychology.
There are no "magical powers"... magic is a skill you must learn. You choose to practice it, and you learn it.
"black" and "white" magic are myths... magic is neutral. It is energy. It takes the same type of energy to heal that it does to destroy. It takes the same kind to improve people's lives as it takes to manipulate and control them.
Ethical issues depend on the culture/religion of the practitioner. Morals are subjective.
Witchcraft and voiding are real, these magics are practiced within religious systems... while fiction likes to depict them as "evil" based on Christian definitions of right and wrong, it rarely gets anything about them right... and certainly, people who are Wiccan, Pagan, Vodoun, etc, do not think their religion is wrong or bad or evil.
There is a difference between magic and psychic. Psychic is an ability that deals with senses and perceptions... magic is an art that deals with shaping your own reality. Of course they can go hand in hand. Both are skills everyone can learn and improve... some people are just more naturally talented than others.
It is real and very powerful. I went to a witch when I was having relationship problems and she totally helped me out using some form of magic. I was not a believer until I had her do a spell for me. Ask her if you want to know about magic. She is very knowledgeable http://www.witchcraft-magic-spells.com
Psychic is an inherent wisdom which is more intense in nature. While Magic and voodoo are more like illusions.
Psychic abilities are culminated good deeds or karma of your previous births, while magi ck is an attained skills. These links will make your idea clearer.
