is voodoo bad if used for healing?

Voodoo is an abomination because it denies who God truly is.

No religion itself is bad. It's the people that follow it who are good or bad. If you want to practice Voodoo, I say go for it. Read as much as you can on it, maybe find a Houngan or Mambo to train under.
