No, Jehovah's witnesses do not do voodoo. in fact, they are against that sort of spirit ism! i have a few Jehovah's witness friends and i know that there is no way their congregation would accept the practise of voodoo!

No, she is not one of Jehovah's Witnesses if she does this. However it is important to know that MANY people in the Virgin Islands and Carribbean in general write and sing songs about "Jah" and "Jehovah" using that name. But they are not Jehovah's Witnesses.

VooDoo and witchcraft is expressly forbidden in the Bible.

I have an interest in music and religion and I have been to the Carribbean and Virgin Islands.
And most importantly, I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Not at all!
The woman is certainly not a Witnesses, as we reject ANY form of spirit ism, as God's Word commands us to!

Well, If she is, Jehovah God will help to reveal it, and she will be disillusioned! Just because a person says they are JW does not mean they are. especially in this forum, which is rampant with ex-Jw's who Lie constantly!

Some in the Caribbean know God's name as Jah from older religious teachings. Maybe that it what you heard? Jehovah's Witnesses are taught to not touch the unclean thing, which voodoo is a part of .

No. Voodoo is a religion that is a blend of Roman Catholicism, Creole Indian religion and Jamaican theology. Hoodoo is the form that practices spells, magic, spirit ism, etc. JWs don't do either.

No Christian Sheep (Jehovah's Witnesses) will ever practice voodoo. Read Deuteronomy 18:10-13.

However, Christian Goats will practice anything that are pleasing to their fleshly desires. Isaiah 65:11-12 says: ?But YOU men are those leaving Jehovah, those forgetting my holy mountain, those setting in order a table for the god of Good Luck and those filling up mixed wine for the god of Destiny. 12?And I will destine YOU men to the sword, and YOU will all of YOU bow down to being slaughtered; for the reason that I called, but YOU did not answer; I spoke, but YOU did not listen; and YOU kept doing what was bad in my eyes, and the thing in which I took no delight YOU chose.?

She can claim anything she wants, but the fact is if she is practicing voodoo she is not really one of Jehovah's Witnesses. If the Elders find out she will be disillusioned.

You have been misinformed or lied too, all Jehovah's Witnesses are appalled with any part of such a disgusting and evil practice' & as others have said we view voodoo as unclean & we are "not to touch" the unclean thing.
This is why we don't celebrate the night of the dead called Halloween, it too is full of demonic worship and is the second most important holiday of Satanist cults. Satan laughs at those that think their Christian and celebrate this demonic festival.

No.

Either the person you mention used to do voodoo before becoming one of Jehovah's Witnesses and now no longer does voodoo, or the person is not one of Jehovah's Witnesses at all.

Jehovah's Witnesses do not believe in the casting of spells, nor that the dead can harm or influence the living.

Nothing in the voodoo belief system corresponds with the teachings and beliefs of Jehovah's Witnesses.

What makes you think she is one of Jehovah's Witnesses?

We do not use, condone, or teach anything with voodoo.

Something is amiss here, either the friend's mother, or your question or understanding.

the reason why you didn't know Jehovah's Witnesses practice voodoo is because we don't.

You don't know her very well, do you? She is NOT a Jehovah's Witness if she is involved with any spirit ism. If she claims she is, she is wrong & don't believe her. But its more likely you just don't have your facts straight. Also, learn how to use a spell checker please!

We are so against spirit ism or anything like it. The Bible condemns it.
