There is a Leveaux museum in New Orleans, they used to have a website, but I'm sure that if you call them you can buy some books and have them sent to you.
Also Marie Leveaux was a Voodoo priestess who gained a lot of popularity in Louisiana over her life time. She was considered the top practitioner of Voodoo for the last part of her life. She is sometimes called the Pope of Voodoo.
Many people visit her grave each year and leave offerings to her there. She is buried in a cemetery within New Orleans, but since her legend has grown the authorities have imposed a lot of restrictions on what can go on at her grave site. No rituals, not fire, no decaying corpses (animal or otherwise) She is a very interesting figure in American history, I hope that you continue your pursue of knowledge about her.
Ps there have been a lot of biographies about her so you might be able to order a couple of them from your local book store or get your local library to do an inter-library loan to get one to you.
Good luck
