jimi hendrix voodoo child tone?

which amp settings/effects would be the best to achieve the same tone that Hendrix has while playing voodoo child?

That's pretty much impossible. He generally turned all the knobs up to 10 and wailed. His amps were hot roded and he had some custom one-off effects made for him. The cry baby WA-wha is the most obvious, used at the beginning and the end, and at some points during the solo. I just found a brand name one at a local pawn shop for $60.
Just turn up and experiment. If you are at that level of playing ability it will rock!
Exact tone is secondary to putting it out there with heart and conviction!

i think you may want to check out Vanderbilly.com... that's a website that they demon state how to play a lot of tunes. Its a very cool site. Free to join and the site is well managed, clean and professional. The guy who started it Vanderbilly has some amazing tunes on there. But the cool thing about it is anyone can teach a song. There is some group discussion area and if you are going to find the information you are looking for this site is your best bet.
