I am drawn to it, find it very interesting but a part of me is very sceptically and I find it hard to fully accept....I find my friends worry about me, too for being interested in it... ( i would like to add that I do have some "psychic gifts" some things that even I don't really understand)...should I just throw away the books?
Deazone - you asked me what powers I have - i hear things before they are spoken ...that sort of thing ....i also sense things very intensely ....i have picked up a couple of hunches about you - but wont mention them here.
You want true power, then give your heart and life to Jesus. He gives us power, in His name, over these demonic things that you are interested in.
P.S. God warns us about messing around with psychic powers and mediums....we are to stay away from this sort of thing.
You can not serve God and the devil. Period.
No it's not baloney. I was drawn to it once, I have some Psychic powers as well. I am a Christian and can still use my Psychic God given abilities to help others.
There are two powerful forces in this world if you are not for one then u are for the other.
I didn't want to get into the powers thing, but what u described is very similar to what happens to me. God gives us different spiritual gifts, mine is the gift of empathy which is very similar to what you are describing. I can pick up on things other people don't sense. I also have the gift of discernment(able to identify evil or good spirits). There are many gifts/powers out there not all from the devil. If you would like more detail I will look up the references in the Bible for u.
It is a load of old baloney, but it's an INTERESTING load of old baloney. I recommend you study it as a subject, not as a belief system.
The same could be said for any belief system. If you can't step aside and view your beliefs from a 3rd party perspective, and STILL believe, then you don't deserve your faith.
You see, Wicca is what I like to call a buffet religion: they go up, take a little bit of this, a little bit of that, a little bit of something else and mix it all together. The end result is a superficial, insincere religion. My suspicion is that you simply have not carefully examined the established religions; there is already something for everyone, these cheap "revival" religions like paganism are doing great injustice and violence to the cultures they steal their notions from.
Wicca is not any more baloney than any other religious viewpoint. I have friends who are very into it and I have friends who are into the more conventional religions and I have friends who are not into religion....they are all perfectly normal, decent, law abiding citizens.
I like a lot of vicunas but, I think it is a bunch of mambo jumbo. I have never met anyone that has stated they have powers and been able to prove it. What powers do you have? I would like to have the ability to shape shift, but then again deportation would make my daily commute to work a lot easier ;p
If you have been taught that some forms of spirit ism are means of contacting good spirits, you may be surprised to learn what the Bible says about spirit ism. Jehovah?s people were warned: ?Do not turn yourselves to the spirit mediums, and do not consult professional fore tellers of events, so as to become unclean by them.? (Leviticus 19:31; 20:6,?27) The Bible book of Revelation gives the warning that ?those practicing spirit ism? will end up in ?the lake that burns with fire and sulfur. This means the second [everlasting] death.? (Revelation 21:8; 22:15) All forms of spirit ism are disapproved by Jehovah God. (Deuteronomy 18:10-12) Why is that the case?
As you no doubt recall, God?s Word plainly says that at death a person ?goes back to his ground; in that day his thoughts do perish.? The dead ?are conscious of nothing at all.? (Psalm 146:4; Ecclesiastes 9:5,?10) Moreover, it is actually the demons who have been known to imitate the voice of the deceased and give a spirit medium information about the one who has died. (1?Samuel 28:3-19) So ?anyone who inquires of the dead? is being entrapped by wicked spirits and is acting contrary to the will of Jehovah God.?Deuteronomy 18:11,?12; Isaiah 8:19.
What is one way that you can resist wicked spirits and protect yourself and your family from their snares? First-century Christians in Ephesus who had practiced spirit ism before becoming believers took positive steps. We read that ?quite a number of those who practiced magical arts brought their books together and burned them up before everybody.? (Acts 19:19) Even if you have not practiced spirit ism, get rid of anything having spiritualistic uses or overtones. This includes books, magazines, videos, posters, musical recordings, and objects used for spiritualistic purposes. Also included are idols, amulets and other items worn for protection, and gifts received from practice rs of spiritism. (Deuteronomy 7:25,?26; 1?Corinthians 10:21) To illustrate: A married couple in Thailand had long been harassed by demons. Then they got rid of objects associated with spiritism. What was the result? They were relieved of the demonic attacks and thereafter made real spiritual progress.
associated closely with animistic religions, which heavily employ very powerful magic, (see shamans, Santeria, beriberi-Latin America) Wicca comes from ancient practices, derived from the worship of the creation, (see new age, lord mature, the coming of the bright ones or the as ended masters-aka seed of the fallen angels, Christians call em demons, Muslims call em jinn) and from the elemental spirits, these spirits are entities(beings, multidimensional, and can take ANY form, aka-shamans transforming into animals, the chupa-cabras, ghosts, and even"angels of light" booo, very bad stuff! and they are transmutable. i mean they do flit in and out, they are powereful and dangerous, the Muslims calll them the Jinn (or Geenees)?they are real, spelling? oh well, alot of that came from majic that is as old as the earth, i.e when people make a sacrifice to nature on the fall to ensure that Spring will return again after winter(also called dying and rising gods). sometimes they sacrificed even people. little did they know, huh? hahahahhaha, it was comin back anyway!hahaha (Booo i'm not laughing that they hurt people, only how dumd they are.) well wicca as far as we see it today, came from the British Isles, and i think before that, from europe. but before that going way back, there was the Egyptians, and if you will, the Atlantians, who as the Aztec writings of the ancient serpent cult of Quetzalquattal (the purple winged serpent, and a jinn, by the way) states in their creation story:God rained down fire and sulpher, and tar on the ancient civilization of Atlantis because they began to mix their technology (spaceships etc.)with black magic, to multiply their power. God is apparently cool with technology, but hates magic. The bible says exactly th same thing in regard to the Egyptians ie. it goes something like this ... God was angry with them because of...enslaving the Jews, and for using magic, and cursed them that they will never again be a great nation.
I'm certainly not going to refer to Antone's religion so disrespectfully as to call it a load of baloney, but I do not believe in Wicca. I am a Christian.
In the New Testament, it talks about prophecy and prophets. They have visions, dreams, and can know certain things in scientifically unexplainable ways. The entire book of revelation is the account of a vision. Prophecy can come to anyone, but not everyone is a born prophet.
Prophets become "psychics" and "mediums" when they deny their gift is from God and use it for their own will instead of His will.
You have been given a powerful and special gift. In fact, it is the spiritual gift that we are told to desire above all others.
Corinthians 14:1 - Pursue love and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy.
If you are skeptical about Wicca, then perhaps you might consider learning what it means to be a prophet/prophetess. It makes sense for anyone to explore spiritual gifts and learn about them as much as possible in order to make an educated decision about their beliefs and how to use their gifts.
Yes, Wicca is a load of old baloney, but no more than any other religion. I suppose if you've got to have a religion, you could do worse - At least it doesn't have the barbaric image of a crucified man as its main symbol (like Christianity), it doesn't promise eternal torture for non-believers (like Christianity and Islam), it doesn't threaten hideous punishments for being gay, or advocate extermination of other races, or any of that other nasty stuff... as far as I'm aware.
The bottom line though, is why would you want to follow any such irrational belief system? Isn't the garden beautiful enough, without inventing fairies at the bottom of it?
Wicca is not baloney. Your friends worry about you because they are ignorant and believe the lies the church has spread about paganism and the divine feminine that are all parts of Wicca.
Wiccans believe that all humans have a magical and clairvoyant potential.
If this is something that you are interested in, then why would you throw away your books??? To appease your ignorant friends??? I can recommend some books that validate Wicca for you and its authenticity.
Wicca is the path to enlightenment to millions of people.
