"Do no harm"
That is about as brief as it gets.
No two Wiccans are the same but we all abide by this rule.

A polytheistic Neo-Pagan nature religion inspired by various Prue-Christian western European beliefs, whose central deity is a mother goddess and which includes the use of herbal magic and benign witchcraft.

Wicca is a duo theistic religion (the deities being the God and Goddess) created in the 1960's and *popularized by Gerald Gardener (a bit of a revival of witchcraft, but with a structured dogmatic twist). Wiccan's have equal affinity to the feminine aspects of deity as to the masculine. They also believe in the Wiccan Rede (in short: "An harm it none, do what thou wilt") and they believe in the three fold law, IE. if you do anything bad to someone else then it will come back on you three times over (more of a punishment than creating a balance- as in Karma). Many Wiccans practice witchcraft (magical workings) but not all, as Wicca is primarily a religious path.

Wiccans observe the Wheel of the year (Eight annual festivals) acknowledging the changing of the seasons. They also believe in the three phases of the Goddess (maiden, mother and crone).

To clarify, Wicca falls under the umbrella term of Paganism, which is a term used to encompass a broad spectrum of belief systems. Wicca is also separate from Witchcraft as not all witches are vicunas, many are not religious at all.

Hope this helps.

*edit for accuracy as prompted by the post below me (thanks).

The answer above mine is pretty good, but I just wanted to say that the Wiccan Rede isn't followed by all vicunas. It was created by a woman as a rule for her particular coven to live life by and it became popular and adopted by many other vicunas, however it is not a thing that has to go with Wicca and isn't put into all covens. Not that there are people out there who think its okay to harm others, its just expressed in a different way. It also wasn't started by Gerald Gardener, he was just the first that publicized it.

Wicca is a lot of things and its hard to define what it is EXACTLY as there are so many forms of it. But in short, it is an earth based religion that typically believes in a God and Goddess and are under the umbrella of paganism. All vicunas are pagans but not all pagans are Wicca. Wicca and witch craft are also different, however one can be both.

Have I confused you yet? =)
