Is it a sub-category of Wicca, another Pagan religion, or Witchcraft?
Is it a subcategory of Wicca if you don't worship the deity?
or is it another pagan religion?
or is it just Witchcraft?
To clarify "it" is referring to my beliefs which are basically everything vicunas believe except for the deity
Wicca falls under the pagan umbrella. Not all Wiccans practice witchcraft, however. Nor are all witches Wiccans. They are not all mutually exclusive, but they do not always go together.
But to be honest, what is "it" you are referring to? Your question is confusing or lacking in details.
People say Wiccans believe all sorts of bizarre things, so without you clarifying what you actually believe, I have no idea what you should be called. If you're mostly interested in spells, you're a witch. If you're interested in religion, you're probably a pagan. You could easily be both. Potentially you might not be either. Seriously, you need to define "it" before we try labeling it.
Wicca is a religion but it doesn't have any specific Deity of it's own.
Wiccan beliefs about the nature of the Divine vary-- some are polytheistic and believe in all Gods and Goddesses and worship the ones they feel called to. Some are pantheistic and see the Higher Power as the universe embodied. Some are monotheistic and see all Gods/Goddesses as different human ideas about the nature of the Divine.
There are agnostic Wiccans and atheist Wiccans-- they see Gods and Goddesses as archetypes; symbols.
Atheist Wiccans still follow the religion of Wicca, even though they see the spiritual stuff all as myth and symbolism and psychology. They are still Wiccans.
Not all Wiccans are Witches, anyway. If one does not follow the Wiccan religion, one is not a Wiccan, however that doesn't automatically make one a Witch, either.
In fact, there are Pagan Witches who may even worship the same Gods and Goddesses that Wiccans do, but they are still not Wiccan, because they don't follow the Wiccan theology, they follow the theology of some other Pagan religion.
- you might be Pantheist if you believe that everything is divine, and don't "worship" so as to avoid worshiping yourself
- you might be Polytheist, if you believe many gods exist but don't actually worship any of them
- you could also be Animist, Agnostic, or Atheist, depending on your specific views regrading deity.
If you don't believe any deity at all exists, you're probably not Wiccan per SE, but there is so much flex in the way the term is used, it doesn't really matter all that much. If you believe that God and Goddess are symbolic, you are in good company with many other Wiccans.
If you don't believe in the deity (there's a difference between belief and worship) then it's not actually Pagan at all. It's just witchcraft, really. After all, that's like a Christian saying "I don't believe in God or Jesus, but I believe we should love our neighbors as our self. Am I christian?"
P.S. I'm not meaning to be condescending. Just because I read over my post and my inner voice is making it condescending/patronizing sounding.
