No. Excommunication is just another mind game. You don't belong to anything you don't want to. It's just another thing to make the people who adhere to it feel good.
If you don't believe in it then you aren't part of it. You don't have to ' get yourself off the mailing list of god '.
No, you don't. I converted from Christianity to Pantheism and I did;t need to commit atrocities to get excommunicated. Just follow your heart, and don't listen to zealous morons.
Have you read anything about the Wiccan religion? That would be a good starting place.
Go to WNW.witchvox.com and there is some really good information and also a search engine to find local groups in your area.
That site also gives some pretty good referrals of reading material on certain beliefs as well.
Wicca? Seriously? You do know that's like the most boring religion ever; I though it was cool and then I met some vicunas...Sheesh, all they do is dance around circles and have orgies. Believe it or not, the best occultists/magicians are NOT vicunas/pagans, many are even christian. Go to this website and ask if anyone is a Wicca:

If you are converting to Wicca you need to nothing. Jesus, the Christian God, all the saints, and all the beliefs are simply manifestations of the Mother Goddess. How could they be otherwise. Are you sure you understand what you are doing?
If you dint excommunication yourself, you may get an outcome you dint really want. They may think your trying to bring evil into the church.
If you believe in the Wicca stuff, then you must also believe that God can do the same kind of stuff, just not evil. I'm talking about healing people in an instant. This stuff happens at my church. I'm talking about cancer leaving people. People getting up out of wheel chairs and walking when they could not walk before. People speaking in languages they dint know in an instant. This stuff happens. If these signs don't follow the Christian church you went to, then find a different one. My denomination is Apostolic pentecostal. Check it out. It's real. Hope this helps
when i left the catholic church I just left and never went back. as far as Wicca organizations in London you could always look on line do a search for Wicca groups in London. I myself am solitary because i found Wicca to be too restrictive. If I were you I would read up on the different paths of Paganism and choose the one that you fit in with.
to the one saying Christians are even the best occultists i have to say by believing in Christianity it just says you are close minded so how can you be open to the occult? also from what I'm reading by this site your posted this is just something with verses and words were you say it out light but I'm sorry to say magi ck do sent work out like that there is so much more to it and what you use for the magi ck really has nothing to do with the outcome
No, you don't need to "excommunicate" or renounce your previous faith. Simply failing to put any weight into that religion, as would be natural if you are not of that religion, is sufficient. Why take the time and energy to reject a God you simply don't believe in when lack of belief is pretty self-explanatory?
Check Wilcox.com for local groups to see what you can find. Always be cautious about meeting people you find on line.

Wicca is not an organized religion... smaller groups act autonomously; or there are solitary practitioners in different traditions (tr ads), which are like different denominations. Reputable groups won't take teens (unless sometimes if parents are part of it, or come w/teen). Some prefer even older members. But no one will mess with minors, unless they are a group of minors themselves in which case you don't know if any of their info is accurate, or if they are just-- disreputable-- adults you shouldn't trust (not sure of your age but there you have it).
The two main lines are British Traditional Witchcraft (BTW), which is initiation-based and line aged to Wicca's founder. You have to join a coven
The other line is eclectic, non-line aged. Some non-line aged groups have formed their own covens based on the outer court materials of BTW, or they practice as "solitaries". Many BTWs don't consider any non-line aged trad as real Wicca. Other people (line aged and non-line aged) consider eclectic Wicca a natural outgrowth of the religion. The only gripe is that people cannot claim lineage if they did not earn it through an actual lineaged coven.
Here is a good site for networking: www.witchvox.com
