Are there certain parts of Wicca that are dangerous? If I practice the religion and make a mistake can a negative spirit come into my house and harm me? Have you had any bad experiences while practicing Wicca? I am new to the religion and I am genuinely curious about it and I don't mean to offend anyone with my questions. Thank you
Wicca is fairly nature-based, and doesn't require the practice of magic, so I would say no. Unless you burn your house down with candles, but that's about it.
It seems like you are talking more about witchcraft than Wicca. As a religious practitioner, any magical work you do should be for the benefit of your Gods, not you. So when you do such work, it would be wise to ask your Deities to be present to oversee and either bless or deny your work. All magic should be sealed to not harm human, beast, or weather. With these clauses intact, anything that you do that could present a threat will be defeated. If it cannot work within the boundaries set, it will not work at all. For an experienced magic practitioner, this will be the main reason their spells fail.
ya be careful if it happens just do a banishing spell and don't evoke unless your very experienced as you may bring a mischievous spirit blessed be )O(
Only using negative energy when you practice witchcraft (like using a spell to bring harm unto someone) can be dangerous because it comes back to you times three. If you raise positive energy when practicing, nothing bad will happen.
Absolutely. Some of their ceremonies and whatnot involve ritual knives. Knives are dangerous. You can tell by the sharp pointy bladed bit at the end, which when improperly handled can cause skin lacerations, massive blood-loss, disabling of vital organs, mutilation, loss of limbs, loss of sensory organs, loss of reproductive organs, and death.
It doesn't even have to be intentional harm. If your trip over a candle or something while you're doing whatever it is they do with ritual knives, I'll be willing to bet good money that that knife is going to end up stabbing them in the throat or someplace equally unpleasant.
And speaking of candles, fire is also dangerous. That's why firefighters are an emergency service, instead of an entertainment service. Tip over that candle while you're accidentally puncturing your jugular, and the fire gets on the floor. Most floors are made of wood, which is extremely flammable. Other flammable things within reach of the fire include, but are by no means limited to, rugs, drapes, robes, spell books, regular books, scented oils, wooden wands, and people.
So before you start doing your Wicca stuff, you better be sure your karma or whatever is good, because the tiniest little accident could result in a deadly collision between the proverbial shit and fan.
No, there is nothing dangerous in any way about the practice of Wicca. Despite what fundamentalist Christians would have you believe, Wiccans do not traffic with the devil, or demons or evil spirits, etc. You don't even Have to practice magic if you don't want to, it is not required or anything like that.
Wicca's big rule is "Harm None". So that should tell you something about the religion.
You can't do anything 'wrong' in Wicca that is going to cause you harm. If you simply honor the god and goddess; honor the earth and treat all others with respect, what possible harm could come to you?
