Well the oldest of religions would be neanderthals worshiping the sun, and sun/ moon gods for the summer and winter solstice, and early man that built Stonehenge and similar monuments.
The older, widely practiced religion with set texts and rules of those 2 would be Hinduism though I'd say.
Hinduism is the oldest organized religion in the world. The Wiccan religion is not very old at all, but some forms of Wicca are BASED on very ancient ideas that are at least as old as Hinduism. Trying to determine the oldest religion is largely a semantically argument because most of the world's religions are based on very old ideas that originated from shamanistic (animistic) religions. And of course, animistic beliefs still exist among indigenous people throughout the world.
Speaking as someone who has been Wiccan for over 20 years, and has met Wiccans who were there in the first decades, I can say without question that Wicca came to be in the 1940s. (not the 1950s, but close.)
Hinduism isn't the oldest religion, however, it is considered the oldest *continuously practiced* religion. There are religious sites from religions that predate the ancient Vedic religion that became Hinduism.
Hinduism is a rather old religion, but beliefs in God have been around for centuries, and those beliefs weren't organized into any set religion with a specified name.
Look under archeology and religions to find that answer. It is shown on cave paintings that the belief in Goddess with a God consort is the oldest.
Wicca is many beliefs some (Not all) date back to Prue-Christian times. I have been a Wiccan for over 45 years and KNOW that Wicca is not all New Age or Neo. And those who do say so (in my opinion) don't WANT to learn the truth!
Hinduism is WAY older than Wicca, as Wicca is less than a century old.
However, there's no good way of naming the "oldest religion." We have no idea what the oldest religion was, since people have had religious ideas long before writing. Evening among religions in existence today, it is difficult to give a starting date for most religions, including Hinduism. Zoroastrianism and Judaism may or may not be older than Hinduism, depending on how you measure it. And then there are aboriginal religions, which may be even older, but they have no writings so we have no way of measuring.
