Most sites are not legit. They tell you one thing then another and none of it turns out to be true... I mean, you CAN find SOME that speak facts about the religion that are not lies but I would suggest a book over a website.
Hmm....when I was seven I got the Wiccan Spellbook. I still have it laying around the house, actually. It never much worked for me and I ended up a witch rather than a Wiccan. Try Ebay. Type in Wiccan in the book category. Or you could go to your Local Books-A-Million and hit up the new-age section. They have some pretty neat stuff there. Hope I helped,

I recommend the book list at Wicca for the Rest of us: http://wicca.cnbeyer.com/books.shtml
The website is very good, too, but books are generally better than websites.
In over 20 years as a Wiccan, I've never found a book that's better than a good teacher, but if you aren't capable of telling good books from bad you won't be able to tell good teachers from bad, either.

A short way to tell the difference is to ask if the book (or teacher) is manipulating your emotions or making claims their data doesn't support...if you see either, walk away.

I wouldn't do it. That is a false religion of the devil. Go for the good side -God. He wins in the end.

Merry Meet Caroline,

There are plenty of good websites out there, but I would have to say that Witchvox at http://www.witchvox.com/ and Witch School at http://www.witchschool.com/ stand out the best. Both have message boards, an Articles section and resources to help find people near you who practice and/or teach. Also Witch School at has a free first degree program in Correllian Wicca that done on line.

I also suggest that you get your hands on Wicca for Beginners by Thea Sabin and/or The Circle Within by Dianne Sylvan. Both of these books are very good reading and both will give you some deeper insight to the Craft and how it relates to you. Check out your local bookstore or Amazon at WNW.Amazon.com

Just my thought on the issue, take from it what you wish and leave what you don?t like.

I hope my blip helps out.

Blessed Be

Nyjh

My favorite is Wicca.timerift.net.

You can read a lot of different perspectives in the essays at Wilcox.com

For the holidays try squid.com/wheeloftheyearAR
