Would it be against my region to buy a Wicca spell?

I am catholic and on eBay they sell spells to improve self confidence its Wicca white masc (I know it could be fake but its only $3) I just want to know if I will be punished for it later. Any help? please don't insult me and call me stupid for believing that. Everyone has a right to be them self.

In the new testament it condemns witchcraft but it describes witchcraft as evil curses and shooting flames from your eyes and stuff, so I don't think White Wicca is bad.

A sin to buy it? No, a waste maybe, but to use it would be a sin.

In the Catholic religion practicing Witchcraft is a mortal sin... it is hell-worthy.

First off Wiccans don't believe in the color-coded concept of magic (white/black magic is a myth to Wiccans-- all magic is neutral to us).

Also there are no "Wicca spells". Wiccans who practice Witchcraft cast spells, but there is no exclusively Wiccan brand of magic... basically, people like the word Wicca, so other people try to make money off of it by advertising "Wiccan" spells.

Finally, anyone who has even learned the basics of practicing magic knows that the most powerful spells are the ones you right yourself. "Spell kits" are just trying to make money off you. Magic works when you know what you are doing and have trained your mind, not because you play with a spell kit.

You're right, everyone has the right to be themselves. And I'm me, I'm a witch or if you want some people call me a Wicca, but I'm not one officially. Anyways, don't buy it. It's crap, Don't trust the Internet. If you want, I can help you... Even though I'm just a beginner i could help you with spells and gems and charms etc. But it's your choice. What does the spell kit say it includes? What herbs, candles, instructions? What are you wanting to accomplish? Send me a message with what you want to accomplish and I will GIVE you a spell that you can do yourself, you will have to go out and buy the supplies though.

Yes its against Catholic teaching and would most certainly be considered a sin. Also if you want to find yourself you have to lose yourself first. Seriously if you want more confidence pray to God to help you. Messing with magic can just open you up to bad things that you don't want to be involved with. it is wise to just stay away from it.

Yes you should not do this you can create your own spell craft because the energy comes from you and not some one else

Well, technically 'witch' in the bible (Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live) should have been translated as poisoner - there was no Hebrew word for witch. Are you planning to poison someone?

All opinions on this differ substantially - even among Christians. As I believe that the issue is just because of a mistranslation, as long as you're not planning to hurt anyone it shouldn't be a problem. Then again, I was never a very active Christian, so I might not be the best authority on this.

Also, this magic is unlikely to really be Wicca (although it could still be legitimate magic). Wicca is religion in which magic is used to connect with the Goddess and the God - even if they're not under an oath, they're unlikely to sell spells and really be Wicca at the same time. Plus, positive self-talk works just as well as any spell for self-confidence, and is probably more likely to work.

Could I just add that I'm Wicca and black magic is a) banned (any 'black' magic done by a Wicca is not Wicca magic, it's just magic, and they're actually doing the Wicca equivalent of sinning) and b) a term for protective magic (Black is symbolic of lack of falsehood and protection).
