Don't do it.

Why fall in with Satan? What's the point?

It's not big and it's not clever.

Here, this may help

ETA: GO Floyd and Graham are examples of people to avoid, they waste their time following their religion incorrectly.

HEY, You Two...Christ said to spread the good news, NOT shove it down their throats and threaten them with eternal torture.

I, personally, don't feel it has anything to offer other than organization.

It was created in the 50s, based on a bunch of older faiths and some invented.

Most nature-based or Goddess-based practitioners find that simply going with "eclectic paganism" works best, because you can move about and go with what works best for you.

See, I am an eclectic-agnostic pagan, that works for me because I don't really believe in literal magi ck. I believe its all psychological (which, in a way, makes it real- but not literal).

If its a community you are looking for, then yes, maybe Wicca is for you- but its not an ancient tradition or anything, and I personally think its more about money and publicity than anything else.

The Paths with in Neopaganism are huge. Wicca is one of the paths and it had many sects with in it. go to your local bookstore and find some books on Wicca. Also many websites exist which teach the basics of Wicca( that are for free) .Look around many sources exists. Also Go on
Witchvox( website)
And see if there is any local covens that might be able to give you the Year and a day training.

The first thing I would advise you do is simply go to a Barnes and Noble Booksellers and peruse their religion section for books on Wicca. They usually have a nice selection. Authors that are good are Scott Cunningham, Edain McCoy, Gary Cantrell, DJ Conway and Ann Moura. Find a couple books or so and get to reading. Make sure that what you read resounds with you before jumping in headfirst. Most of the books usually have references and contact information to get more books and info. Llewellyn Publications has a wealth of books and contacts for you to learn more.

You can also check out different forums where you can get involved in conversations and ask questions as you go if you find something in a book you don't completely understand.

UGH Avoid going to your local book store as there are tons of books there about Wicca that I would not use as a paperweight in a wind storm and its too hard to know in the beginning what is actually good info. Here's a few good resources to start you off. WNW.tradwicca.org that site tells you just about everything you need to know to get started. There is a resource page that has the titles I recommend. Some can be downloaded there. For the ones that can't check WNW.sacred-text.com section on paganism. WNW.wicca/timerift.net a good networking site is WNW.wiccantogether.com Two forum posts you should look at immediately are entitled, "Lark's recommended reading list" and "resources for beginners" Register with WNW.witchvox.com to find individuals and covens in your area. Good Luck )O(
