Merry Meet!
Ive almost hit my year and a day, so Ive learned much, but not nearly everything, but Im happy to give my opinion.
1) Read
This is part of "To Know" on the Witchs Pyramid. You never stop reading, and threes a LOOOTT to know. Check out books on not just Wicca, but Paganism, the Celts, and Witchcraft in general. Understand what the religion is and who started it, as well as its diff rent paths. Study the Moon, Gods and Goddesses, Herbs, Magick, Candles, Poppets, Astrology, Symbols, Correspondances, Colours, and everything you can get your hands on.
2) Practice
Once you've learned, practice! If you've got the basics down pat, continue to learn by applying your knowldge. Dont do spells just to do them, but instead think of what needs change in your life. For example, Do a cleansing ritual for yourself or even a seeker Cerimony for your intrest in the Craft. Practice Practice Practice, its essential to learning.
3)Commit
Many reasons why people leave Wicca is because they dont commit. Magick taskes practice knowledge and skill. Keep a diary, journal, or even a spiral notebook. Many call this a Book of Shadows, or a journal of all your spells rituals, and every other magickal thing that pertains to you, even corespondances like Herbs and Goddesses. You can write journal entries and the date you started your "firsts" Like I wrote the day I got my fisrt Pentacle, my frist Magick themed book, my first trip to a metaphysical/Witchy Store, ect. It has really helped me remember my first steps into the Craft and onto my own personal Path.
I hope this has helped you some, although these are my personal opinions and not fact. Keep learning, and youll know whether or not Wicca is the path for you. To Know, To Will, To Dare, To Keep Silent. This is the Witches Pyramid.
Blessed Be!
