Wiccan, wicca, does magic really work? and how does it work?
Why do you need certain materials for certain spells, why are those outlined such as the full moon for this and red candle for that? When I see a yellow candle I think money not what the suggested use is.
Wicca does work. You really don't need anything for spells. They just focus your attention on the process. I never use any candles (I cast my first successful spell without them). The full moon is the day when most spells work the best.
According to my Wicca friend, yes it has worked very well for her. I think they generally avoid doing spells though, they spend more time doing rituals than spells. Ive been told you can just make up any spell, its the intentions that count so the spell should be personal. The co lours is just to do with symbolism.
All those tools are used for is to get your mind in the right place. Once you've had lots of experience with the craft, you won't need the tools at all.
If the yellow candle causes you to think of money, then use the yellow candle. The power is in YOU, not the candle. Whatever speaks to that creative, powerful part of your brain...use it.
You are talking about witchcraft, not Wicca specifically. Wicca is a religion. It is not about spell work. Whatever source you learned differently from is not the very best of sources.
There are color co ordinations in different traditions of Wicca, and they all have specific symbolic meaning. The coven you work with would expect you to know their meanings.
Magic is a psychological tool. It creates change by changing you. In sympathetic magic, which is the type generally used by most folk magic practitioners, tools, materials, and ingredients are chosen to create a symphony of meaning which acts as a road map or plan of action for the task at hand. For instance if you want a successful job search you would assemble a collage of tools and symbols which represent what you need to achieve that success. Next, you would play out that search by manipulating the selected tools and symbols in a ritual environment. Finally, being fully prepared, coached, and certain of success you follow through by carrying out the plan in real life.
There are many different lists of symbols and their meanings readily available. Everything from colors to days of the week, to phases of the moon, to plants and stones, to objects and tools can be given a symbolic meaning and the magician is free to choose what bests suits his purpose and method of operation. In candle magic the shape and color of the candle is chosen for its symbolic meaning, then further symbols may be added by surrounding the candle with stones, herbs and such, by inscribing written signs and symbols into the wax itself or by choosing a particular day and hour for ritually lighting it at which time the practitioner creates as vivid and detailed a visualization as possible about the successful outcome they are working for. Finally being certain of success they tackle the project at hand and succeed handily.
Yes, Witchcraft spells do work. Thwy work because you are combining action with knowledge to obtain a certain result. A red candle for example, I would you along with Cinnamon and cloves in a love spell to bring passion to my relationship. Why? Why theses ingredients? Red is THE primal co lour, passion, fire, anger, lust. Cinnomon in also ruled by the element of fire (according to me) as well as cloves. These spicy scented herbs invoke fire for me, and why I combine them in spells. Spells have power if one gives them power, which is why Witchcraft is often refer ed to as The Craft of the Wise. If you attempt to just throw ingredients together without regard and now ledge to what your doing, you will get nothing to show, or worse- a possible backfire. Do research: yellow is often use for optimism, happiness and sometimes jealousy. What you think is up to you, but most associate yellow for love and green with money. Do some research, otherwise, it will now matter what you think, as you will yield nothing. I hope this information helps.
