Like if you saw somebody on the street wearing a pentacle, would you automatically assume its Wicca (or they are Wicca)?
Would you laugh, avoid them, what?
well i am Wicca and i love it! but i don't think most people understand it - think it is about dark magic and the devil when in actual fact it is about balance and wholeness. so even if i saw someone with a pentacle i wouldn't assume they were Wicca
I'd assume they're interested in it, or are in it, or think it's cool, or like pentacles.
witches can be a little self-righteous at times (sometimes nauseatingly so) but they are otherwise very nice, mainly. They eat well, and some of them are hot. I was heavily in lust with a witch once but she didn't pay her rent so my friend threw her out before I could Make My Move. Oh well.
I don't know if I would automatically assume they were Wiccan, but I might assume they are at least Pagan. Same as seeing a person wearing a cross would make me assume they were Christian but not sure if they were Catholic or Protestant or seeing someone wearing a Star of David and assuming they were Jewish but not sure if they were Orthodox, Conservative, or Reform. Wicca is just one of many branches of Paganism.
Regarding my feelings about Wicca, as Thomas Jefferson said, "But it does me no injury for my neighbor to say there are 20 gods, or no God. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg." So long as a person's beliefs do not lead them to actions that might negatively affect others, they should be allowed to believe whatever they want. Each to his or her own.
I'd probably at least say hello, wish them a good morning, maybe strike up a conversation. Certainly give them the same politeness as anyone else.
No you should never assume that. It would be like looking at everyone with a cross and thinking that they are Christian. There are fads, there are likes and dislikes. You should never assume something about anyone. I am a Wiccan and you can't tell me from anyone else unless I let you know about it or you break into my house or computer. We are Pol just like everyone else. No horns, no sacrifices, no demons at our beck and call. Oh yeah, no hairy warts either. You will find however that we have a deep and binding love for nature. Blessed Be
Wicca not nee scary must be evil but some of them do black magic spell only
but many of them perform good spell to help Pol
and some of them invoke powerful entity to see the future for u
No, I wouldn't automatically assume that they are Wiccan,,,,it would depend upon if the pentacle is in the upright position....It might give me a reason to start a conversation with them...I often get quite a few interesting comments on my own necklace which I wear openly, it has more than one pentacle in the design of it.
personally i use one inside i like it...
but strangely in the past it has made me angry i dint know why it just has.
and that was while i used one ... mum ?
even a cross ?
Personally I find the practitioners of Wicca and Witchcraft to be a little to...well... Warm Fuzzy Fluffy Bunny for my tastes, but other than that...I guess I just take a bit more pragmatic approach to things...
I don't think there is any problem or issue with wearing a pentacle, whether you are a Wicca or not. Many people immediately fear the thought of witchcraft, but why?
People are scared by what they don't know. After all though, the residents of the UK were originally pagan until Christianity arrived and with the fear of the unknown decided to murder people for it. Which belief would strike more fear into people with that attitude I wonder?
I don't think there's any reason to be afraid of any religion/belief, it's far too common that the people you should be afraid of will stretch the truth to their own ends which enables them to get away with whatever they want in the name of "their" religion. It's people who have no understanding of morals that you should really fear, unfortunately these cannot generally be identified when you're walking down a street.
If I saw someone wearing a pentacle I would not assume anything. I am Not Wiccan, I am a Pagan, I practice Traditional Witchcraft, I wear a pentacle at times. There are many flavors of Pagans and there are people that think a pentacle is a chic fashion statement. By pentacle alone you cannot tell which Witch is which.
I think every-ones spiritual path is a very private matter and I harbor no ill towards anyone of any faith or lack of.
I am Wicca and i have never been more happy, more free, and yet better able to handle my own responsibilities instead of some non working faith that a man would take my responsibilities for me. i enjoy my friends more. i share more. i am far less negative then i used to be. if i saw someone wearing a pentacles i would definitely at least attempt to start up a conversation. find out who they are if they belong to a circle/coven. if they are solitary like me
etc.
hope this helps

We are called Wiccans they practice Wicca. I feel that it is a good thing and love it and i realize it is right for me and not others but wish that people would stop trying to convert me. I have known seance i was eight and WILL NOT be converted. The pentacle is a symbol of protection, just like catholics feel the cross is..
I personally am fascinated by it, I'm not really sure whether it's a waste of time but it's sorta fun and it means a lot to loads of people. And as for seeing someone with a pentacle? Well have you not seen how many people have them just because they're cool? So no, of course i would not automatically assume they were Wicca, but so what if they are?
Im a Christian but i have many many Wicca friends - i find them less judge mental as other denominations of Christian to tell the truth.
Altho there are the few who use 'spells and sorcery' to hurt or harm innocent Pol who dint agree with them. Like the few in cities who try to sell you heather (pr obs not gypsies in the true sense) then frighten the poor souls by saying they will be cursed.
