For me, a natural, traditional pagan witch, not a Wicca, it is definitely a craft, as in art and trade, and definitely NOT a religion.

Yes, the craft is about making nasty little amulets and fetishes to put curses on people. These things contain evil forces. Sometimes it is about feeding patients to people to get control of them.

Try crushing up a black bee and feeding it to your husband. He will ignore other women and do what you say. He will act a bit like a zombie and if you continue, he will die. It's the craft!

witchcraft is practiced by pa gen, Indians, and vicunas.

When someone says witchcraft or witch then most assume wick(sp?)

I knew 2 people that where witches, one was able to levitate and lightning arched over his body. the other actually had the met tings with the prophets a few times and they prophesied over him and everything.

It is a powerful delusion from a very old demon with many names Apolyon is one. These are his and his demons powers at work threw his spirit witch has been entwined into witches souls it is a spirit of witchcraft/demons. I don't believe Hell exists, I know it exists. I was salted / baptized with fire meaning when I slept at night the spiritually damned paid me a visit. I will try to explain what happened, believe me if you want to. Jesus told a parable, it went something like this. The wheat was gathered and placed into his barns, while the weeds were gathered and placed into bundles to be burned at the end of the age. Revelation talks about a place called the Sea of life possibly a place were souls rest in a state of slumber. I don't know for sure. What I do know is this. When I slept at night I was paid visits on separate occasions by different entities. These were souls of men, Demons, devils, fallen angels, unholy spirits, and then some. Sound crazy Hugh, oh well. Then I have a good imagination don't I. Anyway I will try to explain this parable. These entities" I will call them" some had been damned, they came from different places, Hell, Hades, Death, Place of burning sulfur, the abyss. These entities were like coals pulled from a fire, meaning they radiated with the pains from the dungeons were they had been locked up. Fallen angels and demons came out of the Abyss. This could also be the bottomless pit. Hell is Horror and pain; obviously people have Had the same experience that I did because fire was the only description which could describe the degree of pain. This part is really wild. One soul that had paid me a visit in the middle of the night, stood at the foot of my bed. When I was awakes by his presence I lea pt out of bed and lunged at him sticking him in the face with my fist, it had no affect. It passed right threw his face. It all happened very quickly and that was my reaction. He stood there with no affect from my blow. He was Horrid with pain that he had reaped and he was mad and evil. What ever he did hear while on earth in his body was bad to a degree I wouldn't even want to know. I was in a state of shock but had enough since to command him to leave in the name of Jesus Christ. This all happened extremely fast. This is what I felt. He had reaped what he sewed meaning all the pains this man had caused in life had been spiritually gathered and sewn in his soul. He must have caused some people on earth a large degree of pain. The pains were literally reaped up and then sewn into his soul. He had been judged. The pain was so bad that it made me wreath in anguish. This soul of a man radiated with the pains of Hell, and he was yellow in color from the sulfur that was in his soul from were he had been locked up. He was reluctant to leave but after he knew I felt the pains that radiated from him he started to leave. Before he left the room he turned and communicated with me telling me to stop preaching to people. That was all he said. But he spoke with no verbal words. He spoke threw his mind with some sort of telepathy. This is what came out of my mouth, I screamed at him. My Father told me to love him and my neighbor and that?s what I'll do! Anyway he left, but I will never forget that soul of a man and I hope I never experience it or anything like it again. People would say I'm crazy if I told them and a lot wouldn't even want to know. So to answer your question Hell exists and then some. Believe what you want, time will tell. Revelation describes more about these places and what happens to them at the end of the age. God describes times as ages in the Bible. Death and Hades get thrown into the Lake of fire magnifying its pain. I wouldn't want to piss God off that?s for sure. Anyway I see his personality in his creation and I know there is hope. Look at his son Jesus Christ his great command is that we love. Some people on this forum say that Christians murder and killed thought history. Christ strictly forbids this, I don't know were they get there crap. I have seen a lot more than this, but why I don't know yet. Time will tell. Was this answer long enough for u?

Jesus said, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me". So, what does God think about the world's religious practices? God's Word says that religion is worthless unless it is based on a relationship with Christ that compels us to reach out to help others.

I consider myself an eclectic pagan, and i think while Wicca is formally considered a religion recognized by the government, all forms of paganism is a walk of spiritual faith.
While i study all types and traditions of witchcraft, i do find the Wicca Reed a good reference point and a guide to follow. As for it being called the "craft" , if i am not mistaken, and i could very well be, i believe that was a medieval term used.
So i guess all could apply, depending on your own personal perspective.

Hope this helps...Blessed Be )o(

As are all aspects of a belief it depends on whether it is white magic or black it depends upon whether it is earth magic or for just personal gain or revenging enemies, assuming that you are talking about white magic ,It is a belief system that generally states a Reed or a belief system that you do not harm any living thing in your work,I consider it as a religion as it has a lifestyle attached to it and ritual as well.

For myself witchcraft is not a religion. It does not require allegiance to any "one god", or for one to "worship" any gods at all if they so choose not to, nor does it require that I agree with all other witches on just what the Craft belief system "is". Also... superstition is a religious activity, and witchcraft abhors superstition. Instead, witchcraft relies on myth and folklore, which is a far deeper cauldron to drink from. Superstition only generates fear (this is a shallow drink), where myth generates growth...

Instead, witchcraft is a spirituality for me, it is a way of life, a personal (as opposed to group and thus religious) understanding of life's mysteries. This does not mean I'm not religious... I religiously adhere to my witchcraft lifestyle, Lil. That is, my activities concerning my whole lifestyle may have religious undertones to them, but my belief system itself is not religious, it is instead spiritual.

For me Wicca is my Religion, my Faith and the way I reach/connect with God/Dess every day. My particular Craft is healing. I was a nurse for 18 years and continue to heal through "laying on of hands" (yes my dear Christian friends, we do that too!), herbal remedies, love and counseling. Witchcraft for me is both Craft and Religion--but first and for most it is my Religion. I start my day with prayer and meditation and end my day in the same way. And I am grateful to God/Dess every minute of my day for having found this wonderful Path.

witchcraft is a craft which can be used in religious rituals to honor deities of nature if one so chooses. there are witches who do not belong to any of the pagan paths and there are witches who belong to many or one path. a witch is a person who practices the craft or art of true magic. you can belong to any of the pagan paths and never use magic in your life.
witchcraft is what it is witchcraft nothing more and nothing less.
hoped i helped in some way

Witchcraft is the art of practicing magic. The main purpose of a religion is to honor/worship deities. One need not honor deities to practice magic and they need not practice magic to honor deities. Some religions embrace the practice of magic, some don't.

This is a very good question. My first reaction was both a religion and a craft. But after some thinking, Witchcraft is my path, my craft, but would I call it a religion? My wort cunning is a part of my craft, but not my religion. But to call myself a Celtic Witch, am I not declaring witchcraft as my religion? I think I have some more thinking to do on this myself
