people always put the religion down, and it a very nice religion and deserves respect. many people are converting to it and well i be live people should be a bit more open minded to the religion and the people that chose the Wicca/pagan way of life. it in no way harms anyone. its just nature and those that enjoy the world and are proud of mother nature.

Blessed be

I've been a practitioner for four years now.
EDIT:to Daleswife, did anyone ever die for us? Are you familiar with the Witch Hunts? A lot of women were killed for us then, whatever religion they were!
I'll be frank with you.
The Bible calls any form of witchcraft an abomination. There is no such thing as good magic. According to the Bible, the source of a witch's power is Satan.
So, although the practitioners of the religion may be good people, their religion is not.
Generally it is good and should be used for good. But just like anything, some people will use it for evil. Ignorance makes people believe that all witches or vicunas are evil, because they don't understand nor do they want to.
Even though I am an Atheist, I have actually studied Wicca, as my father is Wiccan.
I know for a fact it's not evil, as it teaches you to love the earth. Any spells that are done by actual witches are all good, as bad spells will come back to you.
I think it's sad that more people don't understand this. They hear witch and think warts, green skin, broomsticks, and evil. I think they just fear the unknown.
And until they actual study something BESIDES their own religion, then they will never understand.
you are living a lie,it is satanic, there is only ONE truth that is Jesus, did anyone in your [religion]die for you?i think not,God loves you,God bless you
As with most things, it is not good or evil in itself. If it inspires its believers to do good, that's good. I am not a Wiccan, but I think many of the beliefs held by Wiccans are noble and beautiful, inspiring respect for the planet and for all life upon it. That's good. The spells and belief in natural magi ck are just ritual to me, no more or no less harmful than Jewish, Christian, and Islamic prayers.
I believe it is out there, I don't believe in its aspects. Judges 2: 11-12, Galatians 1: 6-9 tell us that the followers of such practices are to be removed from society. (Not killed). The is but ONE TRUE God and we can only come to Him through Jesus, the Son.
People fear what they do not know. Many still attach old stigmas because they are ignorant. From what I've studied, it seems far more natural and earthly that many of the monotheistic religions. Though I'm not into ritual worship, I think it does teach good values like any other religion. What people do with those teachings is a completely different story though.
I think it's like anything else, it can be used for good or evil, but the general intent of it is for the good. I agree that it's been horribly misunderstood. As a descendant of 2 ancestress' who were burned at the stake for being witches, I think a whole lot more needs to be done to show the world that this is not something bad. It's just established religion trying to get people to convert and doing their damnedest to make paganism or Wicca, or anything like that as something bad and evil.
I think its a great religion. Unfortunately, where I live there are not really others. I am in a very small town that is very christian religious. There are at least 10 churches and the town is less than 1,000 people. The basic impression I get is pick a church to attend and join us now or become an outcast as well as your children.
i believe it is evil in terms that it attempts to lead people down a path that takes them away from Jesus, Some of the Wicca teachings them self might be peaceful, If you are considering exploring this religion I would first try to understand what the cons are really investigate what its dark side might be. It may appear good on the surface but it might be pretty heavy the more you dig down into it. We are in a spatula battle and a lot of what Satan says will make enough sense to make us doubt and question our faith its all part of his techniques to deceive you.
"But God shows his anger from heaven against all sinful, evil men who push away the truth from them. For the truth about God is known to them instinctively; God has put this knowledge in their hearts. Since earliest times men have seen the earth and sky and all God made, and have know of his existence and great eternal power. So they will have no excuse when they stand before God at Judgment Day." - Romans 1:18.
And you call Him mother nature? Don't you know you are without excuse? God is the Creator and He created you to know Him ,but for some reason you would rather believe a lie. This religion of Wicca does hurt someone. It hurts you by keeping you from the truth. Nature is God's creation, and He alone should be worshiped. Every knee shall bow to the Lord Jesus.
What is so wrong about eternal life through Jesus Christ anyway? I just don't understand this.
The power of witches does not come from Satan any more than the miracles of Christianity come from Satan. In fact, the power source is nearly identical. Both of them are manifestations of placebo and suggestion, whether used for good or bad. Witches only create the illusion of effecting real matter and energy in the minds of themselves and occasionally spectators. You would be amazed at how easy it is to manipulate human perceptions. Example: a simple irritant curse. "I curse you with intolerable itchiness!"
I bet you feel an itch or two somewhere. Same phenomenon, only applied to pain perception instead of one of the more common ones that wouldn't carry full effect over the Internet.
Don't worry. The itch fades in about a quarter of an hour, especially if you do something else to keep your mind occupied. Also, this sort of thing works much, much better if you believe that I have actual power. I don't. Its all an illusion.
I agree with you. It is not bad. I think that a lot of people are just going off stereotypes of what they think witches are. But if they ever take the time to study it, they don't know what to think then.
I think it is very funny what all of these obsessive Christians write. They always write about how their religion is the true religion and that all other religions are evil and that we should die and take our satanic teachings to hell with us. But what else would expect from a religion of hate. I know, I'm a Wiccan living in Mississippi's Bible Belt.
Certain religious leaders and spiritual guides/churches tell lies about things they don't understand. I have several books on paganism and Wicca and they are by far one of the most peaceful and caring belief systems around.
Wicca is definitely not evil. It is not about cursing others or selling our souls to Satan (an entity which does not exist), or drinking kitten blood on Halloween to celebrate demons walking the earth. It is about respecting nature, revering the Goddess and God, and respecting and using the energies around us for our own betterment and the betterment of those that we love - so long as it does not harm another.
Very frustrating that people see me wearing a pentacle and their first question is, "Oh, so you worship Satan?"
wow !! that Soho easy...Wicca is Kellia's is the craft...we practice it always....spirit walker you dint deserve that name u call itself....u r now known as LOWWWboy...and dales wife is just plain of her melds....u forgot Ur script at walgreens...go get it....(spitson ground)
People believe what they chose to believe. Wicca isn't evil, but those who don't understand try to rep ell it from them. I am a pagan and have more recently converted.
I view witchcraft in the same way I view fire. You can heat your house and cook your food with it, but if you aren't careful, you may just burn down your house.
Pagan for 24 years. I started when I was 12. *smile*
I'm Catholic so obviously I don't have all the same beliefs as Wicca, but I respect people who are Wiccan. I think the hostility comes from ignorant people who don't have a clue what it's about. A lot of people think it's all about animal sacrifices and gruesome stuff, but from what I've heard about it, it seems like a very peaceful religion that holds a great respect for nature.
