Default I wonder why most of the cartoons are depicting extreme violence and witchcraft for o

Does it bother any of you parents that most cartoons are now creating more and more evil monsters of darkness (demon like figures), and so called super powered creatures that use the forces of witchcraft to battle against their evil foes, which teaches our children that , perhaps its alright to get into witchcraft when and if they need help, rather than teaching them about praying to the almighty God , who has all power, and will help them in the time of need.

And how we can't just smoke a little harmless marijuana, but its cool to show chicks getting naked and wild in girls gone wild on cable TV, then cut back to the murderous rampage that is going on in the shows you watch.

In answer to your question, it is because those are the kinds of people who have climbed the corporate ladders and now sit on top and control the media.

We don't watch those kinds of shows, but sadly enough, there are plenty out there who are getting inundated with dangerous thoughts and curiosity towards the occult.

Cartoons were always violent. The non-violent ones were boring, as I recall. As for the occult aspect, as long as you teach your children that it is fantasy, as opposed to reality, all would be fine. The problem comes in today, when parents are not involved enough in their children's lives, to make sure this transfer of common-sense knowledge occurs.

Hmmm...I have seen more violence, but I can't say that I would refer to any of it as witchcraft? I think sometimes we PUT those ideas in our kid's heads....my kids just see it as "super hero's". I am a christian and seeing Superman fly through the air as a kid, or watching Bewitched never made me any LESS of a Christian. Teach your children right from wrong and make their faith strong, and you won't have to worry about what the world dishes out to them. If their faith is deep and strong, NOTHING will get through. It is the parents job to teach the children...not the animators!

Nope, cause it's not up to TV to teach our children how to behave and where to look for help. Thats the role of the parents. The best way for a child to watch TV is with parents or for parents to be aware of what their child is watching so later on their can discuss what they've seen and what they thought or learned from the show.

As opposed to the healthy, wholesome cartoons of previous generations? Like that Disney movie where the princess trades her voice for a pair of legs she can spread for some guy she's only seen once? Or the original telling of Sleeping Beauty, in which the princess is raped by the prince and only wakes up when she goes into labor nine months later?

Childrens' stories have always been dark. They are about the basic struggle between good and evil. If modern cartoons are too secular for your tastes, don't let your children watch them.
