Not everyone has the same idea of what evil is. The basis of witchcraft is Wicca which is a religion of nature worship. I have known more than one Wiccan in my life and they have been good kind people. I'm not saying that all Wiccans are good people, just as I would say that not all Christians are good people.

Anyone who claims to speak for god is a lunatic or a schizophrenic. And all of the good and bad things you mentioned are things that humans do, not supernatural beings. Great avatar. Love the show. no. the reason why "witch raft" is evil in Christianity is due to HISTORY and CULTURE, way back to Constantinople, when the council was brought together to accept Catholicism as the religion of Rome. the council argued about what was "right" and "wrong" to the Bible, what should be kept, what should be thrown away. The Church has been doing this for AGES. Constantinople was Pagan, and they forced him to renounce his paganism and accept Chrisitanity as a religion for his people. By denouncing paganism, it led Christians to believe that this religion was "evil" and should be unacceptable.
Paganism has been around so much longer than Christianity. This does not make it evil. Just because you have been too naive and ignorant enough to fall into the traps of the Church does not mean that others will follow. the whole catholic church is corrupt. It's people like you that have ruined Catholicism. In principle, Catholicism is a great religion, which is why I used to practice it.
