Where in the Bible does it explicitly say God is not cool with witchcraft?
I don't mean to sound like a skeptical, pompous douche here, but from what I've heard, Harry Potter and things like that are really not cool with God.
But Moses threw his stick down and God turned it into a snake. So... is "magic" okay, as long as God is the source? I'm not trying to poke holes in anything, I'm just trying to figure this junk out.

I think most people just assume that *magic* shouldn't be used by humans because we tend to be evil... but Yahweh has full domain and can do what ever...
Egypt was the "land of the gods" & magic was an essential element of ancient Egyptian life. Spiritism or worship ping spirits of the ancients or loved ones who have passes as a religion is forbidden.

there is a phrase somewhere in the old testament which says "Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live". that was the one which was used to justify the witch hunters and the burnings of thousands of innocents. Exodus somewhere I believe.
The word "witch" first showed up in the Bible in the King James Version. Words that meant things like sorceress and seer got turned into "witch." Lo and behold, King James was paranoid about witches. Imagine that.
The most well known line is in Exodus 22:18. Thou shall not suffer a witch/sorceress to live. However, neither word means what self-described witches mean by the word today. Historically, "witchcraft" meant malevolent magic, not magic in general.
Magic from God is not magic, it's a miracle. magic from the devil, and yes the devil will give power, because it will lead others away from God, his enemy.
No God is not cool with magic, he jealous over those people, he doesn't want their time on magic and witchcraft, he really want their time to on him, he's like that. So when people ignore God and believe in that stuff he is sad because the ignore him. And to answer you question of where it is, it is:
Revelations 21:8 "But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, SORCERERS, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.?
Ezekiel 13: 20 Is another.
