now, people say that there are a lot of parts in the bible that God told us NOT to do witchcraft and not to be in spiritual work e.g psychics. I don think that isn't right. The church teaches us that God made us unique and different and as a plan for all of us. We cant stop ourselves if we can read other peoples minds and see the future, let alone practicing witchcraft if it is used in good ways. Isn't God loving and forgiving as all as we obey his rules? Tell me if I'm wrong and God is the opposite.
try reasoning me that God still doesn't want me to practice white witchcraft (healing etc etc etc)
The bible mostly bans witch craft, because it is usually fake especially back in the day. Back then, witches and magicians would be considered swindlers. If your abilities are real, then go ahead. The Bible does encourage people to use their individual gifts (including prophecy). Just be sure to give credit to the Lord rather than yourself.
You cant read other peoples minds that's the thing. If you think you can you are really read others peoples minds you are listening to Satan not other peoples thoughts that is why God tells us not to mess with witchcraft. Some people have "powers" but those are demons in them that give them that power and they don't even know it(some of them). As far as seeing the future only God himself can give you that revelation if you are not getting it from God you are getting in from the devil. And even some of them dint even know they are getting it from the devil but if they read the bible they would know.
EDIT: Yes Satan can make people do healing also. The difference is in return you are sending a demon into them and you don't even know it.
Please read the book "He came to set the Captives Free"
She was heavily involved in witchcraft and had the powers that you mentioned. But she became a christian and God revealed to her why it was wrong its a really good book and will help your understanding.
She can explain this more than me because she was an actually witch and practice all forms of witchcraft.
EDIT: White, black witchcraft is all the same. Satan deceives people and make them think its better but its not don't fall for his tricks. If its not under the name of JESUS it is from the devil not from God.
EDIT:
Leviticus 19:31 "Do not turn to mediums or separatists; do not seek them out to be defiled by them. I am the LORD your God."
Leviticus 20:6 "As for the person who turns to mediums and to separatists, to play the harlot after them, I will also set My face against that person and will cut him off from among his people."
EDIT:
The reason why God gave you these laws is to help you so you won't be deceived because He loves you and sin separates you from God.
There shall not be found among you anyone that Maker his son or his daughter to pass Thur the fire, or that Seth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchant or or a witch.
Or a charmer, or a consul tor with familiar spirits, or a wizard or a necromancer,
For all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord: and because of these abominations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee.
The Bible *does* mention a problem with "witches" and some people associate witchcraft with evil. Since your witchcraft probably is not the same thing anyway, and you want to do good marketing for your services, you may wish to call yourself an "intuitive" or a "practitioner of alternative therapies" or call them "natural healing methods". If you can admit that God may be a part of the process, you might call yourself a "Faith Healer" or a "Healer Sent from God".
The media, from "Glenda the Good Witch of the East" to Harry Potter, may enjoy the irony of a "good" witch; but I think In Real Life, people would be more likely to patronize a "healer sent from God" than a "witch".
if you were truly a prophet of God you wouldn't have to dabble in anything let alone witchcraft,
all of the rituals used in so called white or black magic are the same and although witches believe the power comes from within it all comes from the devil's realm.
if you have got discernment as a gift it comes from God as do all things created by Him and Him alone,
you don't have to sell it or use it other than if it comes to you naturally.
As an ex satanist I can say do not involve yourself with this in any way, stay close to God and Him alone, compared to god the devil is less than a grain of salt.
Keep studying the Bible and you'll see the truth. Churches don't always give good guidance on spirituality, as crazy as that sounds. It sounds like you went to one of those, especially since you made the "Isn't God loving and forgiving as (long) as we obey his rules" question. The rules help guide you to get your soul right with God--at times when it is right, you won't be breaking the rules--you won't even want to. (And you'll see magic. Some of it will just happen around you. Some of it you will pray for and get. Some of it you will pray for, and realize that you shouldn't have.)
The warnings against witchcraft are clear, but witchcraft is not clearly defined--some things that have been called witchcraft in the past, well, weren't. I think that the reason it is wrong according to God is that you are to worship God and have no other God's before him, and you aren't supposed to be praying to any lesser gods either. Witches see the wonder of God's creation and seem to respect and worship the creation more than the creator. It's a shame, because witches usually see a portion of the truth about the world and how it works more clearly than most Christians, but are blind to other parts of those truths, and that blindness almost always contributes to their damnation.
Good ways? Let's look at a few 'spells' from the Bible. I can't find a single one that helped the one doing them. And taking pride in the ability to channel God's power resulted in Moses getting lost for another forty years--so it is very important to not only be in close contact with God, but to know yourself as well so that you don't let pride and your own will rule your actions more strongly than the will of God.
Diviniation, which could be like a psychic ability, was normally thrust on God's holiest followers, they didn't seek it. John the Baptist, St. John, these guys didn't seek out knowledge of the future, their being close to God let God know that these men could handle that sort of revelation. A lot of 'psychic' abilities are merely finely tuned empathy and perception, and those sorts of abilities are used throughout the Bible. Healing is complicated, because it involves not only the healer, but it also requires the faith of others, such as the person being healed. Casting out demons is another type of healing, but I'd recommend some serious study before attempting something like that.
I'd suggest reading one of the Gospels straight through (Luke may be your best bet, or Matthew), stopping at each point where some magic happened to think about all that was involved. Who was the vessel that channel led the magic? Where did the power come from? What were all the components involved (for instance, did Jesus credit the faith of the person healed, the faith of their family, or did he do his miracle from his own faith and God's power alone). When you are finished with that, I'd suggest getting a concordance or using bible.com or something similar to find every instance of the words "kingdom of heaven" in the Bible--pondering the parables that guide you to the kingdom teaches you about the spiritual nature of a Christian's relationship with God in a way that no church can. (Besides, a lot of churches I've been in don't teach spirituality at all--they gloss over the gospels like they are a history lesson and jump to the epistles so the church can tell you how to live without laying the foundation of forming a spiritual relationship with God first.)
I think I've given you enough to think about. Let me close with an off-the-topic remark. You don't get to heaven by being good. You don't get to heaven by not being evil. You get to heaven by deciding that you wish to follow the will of God and praying to him about that wish--then good actions, praying for forgiveness from transgressions, avoiding sin, and doing unto others becomes an integral part of who you are. Those outward actions are the result of your faith. Following a list of rules isn't enough. You need to follow God.
