okay, my family a long time ago my family started with witchcraft.it was on my dads side. he said it was their tradition. he told me his grandmother was a good witch such as a white witch. he said whenever he was sick he used to heal him. after she died, my family still used magic besides my dad i think. he loves god and trays to avoid the subject. he says when he was younger he and his brother used to see ghost and shadows etc. he told me that his aunt asked him to hid a book of his or hers one day. where he lived there were mountains. he hid the book there. before he left she said she would find the book and chain it to the table when he got back. so my father and his brother hid it. when he got back it was there, and yes, chained to the table.when my mother and father were dating he got a call from a relative, saying his girlfriend was pregnant, and its a girl. (yes i am a girl x]) then shitload him what my mother was doing that very second in the next room, he asked her what she told him then he asked my mother and turned to be the same answer, and they found out she WASpregnante. but all i wanna know if its in my blood. am i a witch like them?
You could probably try a few things out just to see if you can do what ancestors in the past could do. That's usually a pretty good sign you have that gift they had. Is it a bloodline thing? Hmm, probably not. It might be more of an acquired talent through years of practice and training in witchcraft. So again, try and find out a bit more about your ancestors and practice what they could do. This is the best way I know how to gain any experience in witchcraft. Though if it upsets your dad to talk about things such as witchcraft, it might not be the best idea to explore it further... But if he doesn't mind, or you have a relative you're close to who can be a teacher for you, perhaps look to them for help.
It's probably not the answer you wanted, but that's just my opinion...
STANDARD god i love the crazy s**t , that book rattling away Lil!
thank you for the imagery ... but since i DOT you have straight black eyes , no meal in . and randomly speak spells and stuff , proper witches are jokes , cute little things ...not like how they are in myths and stuff or in books and fairy tales ...
i just find them immensely cute and funny ...
okay try and imagine a girl or a boy possed by a bunny rabit who randomly breaks out in a lower tone of voice in arcane languages doing spells all the time whether they want to or not , and always have a temperment for being nice ... they are just the cutest things ...
as for you i don't know , *throws you a carrot because im a joker* but i ted to get on well with witches per say ... but yeah , you'll probably be into that crazyness in no time judging by the sounds of it ... lol!
stay away from witchcraft, seek a church counselor for prayers and cut off the generational thing. Unless you have the true God with you, the ungodly past will try and claim you from the Creator. Shadows and all those unclean spirits are not from God, break from this hereditary bondage and start a fresh, anointed life with the real God. You will never, ever regret walking in the Light. There is no such thing as a white witch, their influences are from familiar spirits, stay away please.
It is my personal belief that everyone has the ability, but I also feel certain that it is stronger in some family bloodlines. When I was growing up, my grandmother told me all sorts of stories about how her grandmother was a witch, and that it skips a generation on the maternal side of the family. Those generations that are skipped end up crazy. So this is my family history regarding witchcraft:
* Great Great Grandmother - Full-blooded Native American, was also locally known as a witch
Great Grandmother - Died in a mental hospital
* Grandmother - Witch (Did dowsing, and knew about herbs and ghosts)
* Grandmother's Sister (My Great Aunt) - Did card readings for the locals.
Mother - In and out of mental hospitals her whole life, diagnosed schizophrenic
* Me - Some witch tendencies (Have precognitive dreams, studied Wicca and Shamanism)
There is definitely a pattern here, so there must be some truth to my grandmother's words. Either that, or we're all crazy as loons. I like to think we're witches, personally. It's much more exciting than being labeled as 'crazy'. This is why I believe, personally, that a tendency toward witch things is hereditary, in spite of what some modern Wiccans like to say to the contrary. Then again, there are plenty of modern witches who believe the same, that it is hereditary.
Don't listen to those fundamentalist Christians who try to tell you what witchcraft is evil and of the Devil. It isn't. It's about being close to nature, and learning to use what energy exists, to achieve your ends. People do this on a regular basis, whether they realize it or not. Witches (those who consciously embrace it) just have a better understanding of how it all works.
Having Witchcraft "in your blood" is much like having piano playing "in your blood". It doesn't matter how many generations before you were concert pianists, if you never take a lesson, never practice your scales, you'll never play Carnegie Hall.
If you don't actively (and regularly) practice the Craft, then no, you are not a witch.
first : you don't say " is witchcraft in my blood? " you say " does being a witch run in my blood? " it makes more sense !
second : if what u have heard is true then you should be a witch , in my friends family it runs in her blood to be a very powerful witch , but that is a very long story . the point is that you probably are a witch ! if you decide to try witchcraft then you should try starting off with some simple spells , it can be very dangerous if u don't know what your doing !! and remember that curses are really powerful so dint go cursing everyone you dint like !
Witches aren't born witches, per SE, although those who practice the craft may gather remnants from their former lives, but it has little to do with the blood that flows through your body. It is possible you were associated with some of your relatives in a previous incarnation as well as this one.
Witchcraft isn't in Antone's blood, it's not a gene.
It's a skill... a Craft... you have to learn it, you're not born with it. Even if your own mother is a Witch that doesn't make you one if you never learned it.
Like you don't inherit being a carpenter or being a scrapbook er (other crafts) you don't inherit Witchcraft.
If that were the case, we're all born Witches because everyone has magic in their family if you trace back far enough.
I don't know what you think it really has to do with God... Witchcraft is a Craft that has gone with every (and no) religion; Witches have always been people who just worshiped their indigenous Gods that their family did. There have been Witches in every religion and every culture throughout history... every religious person I know, Witch or not, loves his/her God, be they Christian or Jew or Pagan or whatever...
Not to mention... the things you are describing are psychic abilities, not Witchcraft actually (though naturally training in the craft in part is training to improve your intuition).
(sigh) Everybody new to Wicca and paganism seems to have a great-granny that was a witch. In reality, few people did.
Let's see proof of her book of shadows. Please don't show a picture of a modern book that has been purposely "aged" to look old. Or, photographs of granny doing a spell, or any sort of proof.
I've heard dozens of people claim to be from a "family tradition". All of their stories fell apart when I met their parents and grandparents.
Having a history of Witchcraft in the family doesn't make anyone a blood Witch anymore than having Christians in the family make you blood Christian.
A Practice is not a genetic trait. One can have a natural talent for using herbs or understanding stones, but that doesn't mean they are a Witch.
Being a Witch takes study! You aren't automatically a Witch just because your great grandmother was a Witch and you think you have some sort of psychic ability. It just means you were born into a family who practiced the craft at some point and you are a sensitive (anyone can be a sensitive and not be a Witch).
If you want to be a Witch, don't look for excuses to stop you from doing work towards it. You'll only hurt your self in the process (and I don't mean literally). If you want to be a Witch, you have to do the work, and that means STUDY! Learning, research, etc. You can't just one day open your eyes, learn something about your family and decide "Oh, my aunt/grandmother/mother whatever was a Witch so that must mean I'm a Witch too". It doesn't work that way.

Your blood is made up of plasma, cells and platelets. But i understand what you mean i think. In my family there are a lot of talented musicians..my son is one of them. My father was a gifted pianist and organist..so in one sense we could say 'it is inherited' but i don't think that would be correct. My Father was utterly fascinated with the 'Occult' for want of a better term. And i have had a lifelong interest in associated matters myself, but is this simply down to influence? probably. We are very influenced by the things that surround us as we grow up. But in Witchcraft, unless there is a specific family tradition that can be passed on, and grasped, you simply have to forge your own way forward. You cant rely on what 'might' have been via your family. I am in no way disputing that there may well have been some form of the Craft in your family..but that really wont help you in the initial stages of learning about Witchcraft.
