Buk Buk is wrong, though not through personal fault, it's a common misconception.

There are many variations on what the differences are. Most commonly agree on one thing. Witchcraft is the act of manipulating natures energies. Sorcery is doing the same, but solely for malicious reasons. That's not to say witchcraft cannot be used so, but it can get complicated.

Also, Sorcery is heavily linked to alchemy.

Sex has absolutely nothing to do it, a female sorcerer is called a sorceress, a male with is still called a witch.

Another misconception is Warlock which actually means nothing magical at all. A warlock is an oath breaker, nothing more.

Witchcraft, in various historical, anthropological, religious and mythological contexts, is the use of supernatural or magical powers. Witchcraft can refer to the use of such powers in order to inflict harm or damage upon members of a community or their property.

Sorcery, the belief in magical spells that harness occult forces or evil spirits to produce unnatural effects in the world.
