Witchcraft is basically a spiritual (not necessarily religious) study of a variety of things such as healing, divination, spell craft, and dealing with spirits (such as Fae, Deva's, ghosts, and elemental, for example.)
There are so many kinds of witchcraft, that for me to tell you what to do could perhaps deter you from the type of witchcraft that is more of your style to practice.
To become a witch, simply start picking up books on the subject and star reading stuff on the Internet. Read everything you can. Not every teaching is sound, and you won't get Harry Potter results (I hope that's not what you think). But start to follow your gut on what interests you the most. There really isn't just one way to become a witch.
Start studying up on the principles of energy work, psychic self-defense, on Hermetic philosophy, on the Doctrine of Signatures (which is how the ingredients in spell crafting is determined). Learn about herbs if they interest you. Or crystals. Or the planets. Or about the kinds of spirits that interest you. Learn some form of divination such as scurrying or Tarot.
The best piece of advice is that you can't do it all at once. You need to know yourself, you need to learn to concentrate, to visualize, to have confidence when doing a spell or ritual, to learn what you need to know. It takes YEARS!
