Grimoire for the Apprentice Wizard is a good start on Western Occultism. I don't care for the way the author looks down on certain other forms of Witchcraft, and this belief is reflected in his works.

This publisher is as good as any. Well-written books, easy to read.

I don't think any of the spells or potions work as advertised, though. But if you like a good ritual (some people do - rituals seem to be calming and therapeutic for lots of people, but I like a good science experiment myself) this stuff might be for you.

Scott Cunningham's books are good. I've been told Raymond Buckland is another good author.

I like Wicca: Guide for the solitary practitioner, personally.
And Raymond Buckland's Complete guide of Witchcraft of something like that. I don't remember, it's been a while. As a Green Witch, I love Ellen Dugan.

Anything by Scott Cunningham, honestly. Just be sure to avoid Silver Ravenwolf.
