If you consider how white witches have used herbs and other plants to make potions, that, ironically, actually can work: for example: the bark of the willow tree was the birth of aspirin; then you can appreciate that witchcraft and folklore sometimes interlink with science. The same can be said for ancient astronomical beliefs, and so.

Witchcraft is science. It's just that because the public knowledge of people hasn't reached it yet, they think it's strange and that the person has some kinds of "special powers". Discovering fire might have been witchcraft to early ancients, but an everyday matter of modern life.

Witchcraft isn't related to science. It's pretty much the opposite of science.

But people believe whatever helps them justify their lack of contact with reality.
Sad, really. Science is so much cooler than make-believe.

Witchcraft isn't supernatural
It us being super aware of all that is natural
For example some are aware of good uses for herbs
Most care about the planet and global warming
Some are silly fakes that try to sell spells over the Internet
But all believe in using energy the spells are rituals to help them release energy to help them work towards their goal.
Oh and scientist in Russia are working with auras now
Humans use electricity to move their muscles the aura is just the radiation or something witches call energy that hangs around human bodies.
Those with good eyesight can see it(mostly children CoZ their retina isn't damaged yet)

The relationship is that witchcraft claims to be science-based but that accredited scientists reject such claims.

Witchcraft is integrally tied to the natural world, so of course it could be considered a type of science. An horologist studies herbs, and a witch who works with herbs must also understand herbs to effectively apply them in the craft. Herbology is most definitely based in science. The study of the heavens is astronomy and most witches also apply the knowledge of astronomy to their craft. There is much more, but it depends on the craft being delved into. Most natural science can be applied to the various crafts.

Some people need to open their minds a bit, witchcraft is not a bunch of hocks-pocus.

Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic. ? Arthur C. Clarke

basically what most people see as magic/witch craft is little more than the application of an 'x' factor that most people of the age were unfamiliar with... whether its the processing of willow bark to make an aspirin for pain relief or adding a hallucinogen to induce visions etc.

even today people are discovering simple machines that date back to Greek and Roman era that amount to punch card computers, automatic doors, accurate alarm clocks, and time released locks etc.

a bit of secret knowledge, some basic psychology combined with theatricality and viola... Magic

Read up on different aspects of theoretical physics. It sounds like magic for shire . Particles appearing out of nowhere then gone again with amounts of energy disappearing and reappearing. Energy to matter then back to energy again. The mind is a powerful thing that is not yet fully mapped or understood. Energy is every where. It is just finding the right tools. Then understanding that the tools are only focusing the power in your own mind. So easy yet so very hard.magic is just science before it is science.
