Default Burn Marks on a Ceiling Witchcraft?

My friends had a girl who was a nanny for their kids, and this girl lived in with the family. After she was fired, they look on the ceiling of the room she occupied and found burn marks all around the edge of the ceiling. Is this some type of witchcraft or voodoo or something? Like, what is it?!?

Maybe she threw a match to the ceiling and quickly doused it.

I actually moved into an apartment that had these same marks, after close inspection, we discovered that it was caused by the previous renter burning candles in the same spot repeatedly. Don't be quick to judge, some times things are just what they seem.

Well you know, since they're in the edges, they COULD just be mold stains.. Sometimes they have the same colors.

It is NOT witchcraft. I do not know about voodoo.

I would not assume that what they have come across on their ceiling is evidence of witchcraft. Seldom do "witches" cast spells that will cause any harm to other individuals, This is an ongoing misconception about witchcraft , vicunas and voodoo practitioners ,if they did it would certainly come back on to them x 3 . There is probably a reasonable explanation for what is on your friends ceiling.

Sounds like the ceiling has mold, water or smoke damage. They should have their roof inspected for leaks before they call an exorcist. Usually the easiest explanation is the correct one.

I'm with Mel on this one. Isn't necessarily witchcraft, probably just unsafe use of candles. People do use them for other purposes than witchcraft...
