Do catholics belief in that stuff? Not practice but like belief. And if they do and encounter a situation like this what can church do? I recently found out that my ex bf ex ff did witchcraft on him, and obviously affected both of us, to the point that now we broke up. He doesn't know he is, and i don't want to tell him because I'm going OT sound like a freak. But is there a way that the Church can help me purify and get rid of evil things or whatever it is that i have. If possible also at the same time get rid of that bad thing from my ex? without him know?
Few months ago i bought him a rosary, but i DDT get it bless i just hope he has that rosary and may god protect him. I still love him so much!
We live kind of far away from each other. An hr and 40 minutes away fro me each other. I'm Mexican and he is White, maybe it was envy that people had that really messed up our relationship and envy, and bad vibes.
Yes, Catholic believe that the devil exists and can and does exercise certain powers that God permits him, always so that greater good may come of it. However, this means that people can be seduced by this desire for power and gain certain dark powers over others through demonic influence. God is ultimately stronger, and through sacramental power, such as confession, or through sacramental such as exorcism, a person can be released from these demonic influences. Seek help from a priest.

An exorcism is what is done. Most exorcisms are not like the ones you see in the movies, most are more like a doctor's visit. You come in, you wait, you go in and they do an exorcism. Sometimes it takes one visit, sometimes it take 5, sometimes 30.

How did you find this out? And it doesn't mean that is why you guys broke up. Do you believe she may have put a hex on you?

Again, how did you learn this?

I would say contact your priest and speak to him about this. And no, unless your ex comes forward, he cannot be exorcised. It's not something that can be done over the phone or whatever, it is something that is done face to face.

Remember, things might just not have worked out. There might not be any other reason except that the relationship just didn't work. Love isn't the only thing that is needed in a relationship, much to most people's surprise. You need to really think about your relationship and not look through rose colored glasses.
In the West, these things are dismissed as superstition. Reality extends beyond the observable and you can call this the supernatural, but we don't believe we live in a Harry Potter world.
The problem, as I see it, is the non-Western, African attitudes toward evil. It is seen as an ever-present thing that impacts daily life. In times of panic, accusation of curses and witchcraft are made and mob action is taken.
This is not just the Catholic Africans, it is a subculture of some African nations that might be encouraged by poorly prepared lay ministers and poorly trained priests. Of course rural areas are worse than cities, but many Catholics are in rural areas.
Ex-girlfriends cause breakups all the time, it is natural more than supernatural; You are correct to find it evil. Just make sure he attends Mass and receives the Eucharist frequently. The grace of God and his protection is available to him
