I've always been interested in Witchcraft ever since I was a young boy.
I'm about to spend about $100 on a few beginner books on Wicca witchcraft, and Spirit summoning.
But I really want to know if it's real. Will I be able to cast spells and summon spirits? I'm an atheist and I don't believe in ghosts and stuff but I am willing to throw all of my beliefs away if I can really experience this witchcraft magic.
So all you witches out there, please tell me, is witchcraft real? Or is it just some psychological thing where you just 'think' you've casted a spell
It's possible. Anything's possible. I believe in it, but only things like distanced combustion and electrical charges, because i also believe in science.
If you believe magic will work then it will. First you must believe that it will work and then you will believe that it is achieve able. We are all connected by a kind of web which magic can create "vibrations" on and influence other parts of the web. But don't expect big dramatic magic to work, magic is a way of subtly influencing the world around us, and, most importantly, ourselves.
OK first of all if you are a beginner it would be really stupid to start trying to summon spirits... second of all you just said you didn't believe in ghost and stuff......
I suggest you learn about the religion before you go goofing around in it because it is very real
and you are asking witches if its real??? why would they continue to practice and follow something that they thought was fake? think about it
my suggestion is to get books by Scott Cunningham... he will steer you in the right way so you dint get mixed up in all the ridiculous crap that out there
It is but to experience actual magic its not something you can do by yourself. You need to have physical help, at least this has been my experience. In the new Thor movie, magic and science are the same thing. That is a true statement. I have actually flown without the help of any machines, and I have been pulled and moved while I sleep. You could say its because of a demon but its magic. I flew because I had access to a superconducting substance that resulted in me flying. Actually flying, I fell into the ocean where I met a great white shark that rescued me like a dolphin would and it didn't eat me because of the same substance. I was in Guam at the time and it was part of a military experiment. I can ta;Lek about it cause no one would believe me anyway.
I'm gonna agree 100% with Hollin. I want to start practicing witchcraft too, but I'd prefer to go to a course or something on that, but unfortunately, threes none around my area
"is witchcraft real? Or is it just some psychological thing where you just 'think' you've casted a spell"
Yes.
To both questions.
I remember a quote, but I'm afraid I can't say where I got it that goes something like this: "It's all in your head, you just don't realize how big your head is."

Witchcraft is about as real as any other religion, if you have faith in it, it'll work for. Scientific support is lacking though. But on the other hand magic does exist and is very real, in a certain way. Vastly superior technology is indistinguishable from magic.
Yes, witchcraft also known as Wicca is real. and magic implies illusions and tricks. real magi ck is spelled with a k as magi ck or magic. Good luck! welcome to the family. merry meet merry part and merry meet again
Yes, it is.
But a big thing is believing that it will work
If you're thinking that a spell won't work or if you're feeling silly and having doubts, it usually won't work. When I started (not too long ago) the first spell I did, I was doubting myself greatly, and the spell didn't work. So later, I tried a different spell, and I did it with the most confidence i could get myself to bring, and that spell worked. As for the 'seeing ghost's' Some witches do or don't see them. I have never, but i believe it's possible for someone too. Some witches believe that it takes a more experienced witch to see them, but I'm unsure if that's true. Don't get upset if the first few don't work, it took myself awhile to get used to the change, Good luck :]
Magick (spelled with a "k" to separate it from Houdini) is very real. Magick is everywhere, in the trees, in the sky, in the moon, and even within you. If you decide to become a Witch (or Wiccan, whatever you wish to call yourself), it takes a lot of dedication and study to learn about magi ck, rituals, deities, etc.
I understand that you are eager to summon spirits and cast spells, but I would not recommend summoning spirits until you are at least a few years into your Craft, because what if you summon an evil spirit by accident? Yeah, I would wait until you know a lot of things before summoning spirits. And whatever you do, never play with Ouija boards, because you could summon such malevolence with those. I've never used one, but I've read so many stories and watched many documentaries about spirit boards, and how one girl ended up dead after using one (I'm not trying to scare you, but I saw it and it was true).
Remember, if you convert to Wicca, it is not about casting spells. It is about becoming attuned with the Lord and Lady and Earth's natural cycles, like the Moon phases, seasons, and other things.
