I was just wondering why someone would get involved in things that are enemies to God. Including black magic, wizardry. witchcraft, and warlocks. I saw a co-worker reading a book about them and decided to do some research and am now convinced the the threat is very real. If you know something is bad for you why do it anyways. Have these people sold their soul?
I personally didn't know one way or the other when I got involved in it. I was listening to all the wisdom of the people I thought had it all figured out and wound up just like them. I was looking at all the negative and rationalizing why God didn't exist just as instructed from all the blind guides that led me. Well I really wanted to know for 100% sure because my life has been on the very edge ever since I was born. I am constantly living in life and death situations and I have no control over them.
I kinda felt zillions x zillions x zillions plus years if true would be just a tad to much to leave to chance. So off I went on my Spiritual pursuit. I didn't know how to get God to reveal Himself for me, but I did know of many people who swore by witchcraft. So I tried it and got what I wanted when I wanted it but it wasn't worth having and didn't last because I didn't dive deeper into it. Well I decided there definitely is a dark realm, so the possibility of a Good Realm was at least 50-50. Then I got to thinking if there actually was a God then all the people I was using witchcraft to get even with I might as well get use too and find a way to enjoy living in a living hell because I was shooting for eternity around them.
So off I went on my Spiritual Pursuit of God. 30 years later I'm still reaping the results of my idiotic decision to try witchcraft but I have found God and He has shown me Supernatural Spiritual things I can't even begin to explain. But life with God is AWESOME and He keeps Satan and his demons at bay unless I fling wide the gates of hell and invite them in too eat my lunch and pop the bag, which they haven't missed an opportunity yet. Even though it was anything but a bed of roses at least I know where I'll be spending zillions x zillions x zillions plus years when I do cross over to the next and awesome Realm of existence. ? ? ? ?

I've said it before and I'll say it again. It is getting harder to tell who is a troll and who really believes the crud they are spouting.
You are assuming that these people are Christian. Certainly, if they were Christian, they might not be inclined to do these things since Christanity often teaches against it (not all sects of Christianity have such notions, however)... but of course, you are smart enough to know that not everyone in the world is Christian, therefore either your question should be "Why isn't everyone in the world Christian if they know that it's bad for them not to be Christian" or it shouldn't be a question at all.
To witches, like me, witchcraft and magi ck are hardly the "enemies of God" and they are not "devilish." There is no such thing as the devil. God created witchcraft to be used by His/Her creations, us. God helps those who help themselves and God created magi ck for us so that we would not have to beg Him/Her on our knees for every little thing like helpless infants. God gave us the means to plant crops and feed ourselves so that we wouldn't have to pray for Him/Her to magically fill our stomachs so as not to starve to death. God gave us the means to cover ourselves with roofs and build fires so we could stay warm and not have to grovel to God to warm us with His/Her divine warmth every time we got a little cold. Similarily, God gave us magi ck so that we could have the means of working our will upon the world (in accordance with God's will, which is our will since God created our will.)
Witchcraft is not "bad for you" unless you misuse it or abuse it... but then, food is bad for you if you misuse or abuse it and so is fire.
Occult practitioners tend to have a different framework for the items you mention. For instance, they probably wouldn't see their practices as being devilish or antagonistic toward God from the outset. Your perspective is based on a common view that is not widely shared by magicians.
many of the ceremonies your church practices has roots that can be traced back to pagan religions. The concept of a devil was first introduced by the Christian church,most likely to frighten the locals in attending services . I think you need to go back and research your personal religion and see the parallels between the way you worship, and your beliefs, and those of the Wiccan , pagans and others. Besides, it really isn't about who or what you worship, it is the intent behind it that really matters. Energy is neutral, its humans that decide whether it is good or evil.

I help people. The same way you might ask someone to say a prayer for you if you were sick, I would make a spell for someone, to help them heal faster.
What I DON'T do is

buy souls
consort with your 'devil'
do anything that's "bad" for me [aside from the occasional piece of cake :P ]
sacrifice babies, goats, chickens, or any other livestock or other animals.
believe in ANY literal gods
run around cursing people for no reason.
So GET REAL, calm the F*CK down, and stop trying to induce hysteria in religious communities.
