Yes, because I know some witches, and God told me I was surrounded by them, and started revealing them to me. They are real, but have no power over a child of God who knows who they are in Christ Jesus.
every major religion condemns the practice of witchcraft and sorcery.
so there is something there.
however, not all cultures have spoken the truths of what is actually being condemned, there is a lot of superstition and false theology associated with these mystery religions.
the bible teaches at least 9 different definition of what witchcraft is. Pharmekia however is the Greek translation, which in English becomes pharmaceutical, by some interpretation, which includes Prescription drugs. sorcery includes recreational drug use and Poisoning MIND control and the spirit of mesmerism.
No,
While verses in the bible do condemn witchcraft...
The term, "witchcraft" in the Christian Scriptures (New Testament) refers to murderers who use poisons to kill people.
Though God considers these things to be idolatrous; they honor demonic spirits, and thus He calls them abominations or detestable things, things that He hates.
Let's put it this way, I am Catholic, but I read Harry Potter, and always think of magic, etc. So while I'm not a firm believer of morphing/spells I definitely do not condemn it. In fact, I would give up a lot to live in a world of magic.
1. People have gifts of the spirit from God to make our lives a little easier and more inspired.
2. We definitely do not know everything about the human body, much less about the human mind and spirit.
3. Sometimes God allows evil spirits to interact with human beings, or even to possess them. I had a bad experience when I walked into a neighbor's house and found it filled with a powerful presence I had never felt before. They claimed it was Native American spirit guides or something like that, but I'm not sure it was authentic. Native Americans seem to be a little too smart to fall for something like that.
4. Casting spells: I doubt it. There are always psychology and hypnotism.
5. Voodoo: I think it can only harm the practitioner.
6. Shapeshifting: Not for a New York minute. We are created in the image of God; nothing can (or at least should) change that.
Certainly its real. The Bible is full of examples. The magicians in Pharaoh's court matched Moses' miracles - up to a point.
It's real, but the source of its power is Satan and his Kingdom; and all who practice it make themselves the enemies of God.
"When you enter the land the LORD your God is giving you, do not learn to imitate the detestable ways of the nations there. Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spirits or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the LORD, and because of these detestable practices the LORD your God will drive out those nations before you. You must be blameless before the LORD your God."
I'm not sure about the morphing part, but the Bible talks about sorcery, and that must be real. Whether the modern people who claim to be witches actually are, well, that's another story.
I believe because i practice witchcraft and I'm a christian too but i don't believe in God. And i don't believe in humans transforming into animals. This is impossible.
