My last question seemed to has answerer's revolved around one thing hopefully this will be different.
I'm doing a study on Witchcraft..
I'm looking for a healthy Non-Evil religion that has to do with Witchcraft and spells.
Are there any spells out there that work immediately and significantly?
Like for example there could be a spell to clear or create fire before your eyes maybe. Or heal a small wound within a few minutes.
It's a long shot i know but I'm curious.
I've seen silly things like winning lotteries and casting love spells on the neighborhood cutie that I find ridiculous.
I'm looking for something good and wholesome.
Something that uses the five elements to do good.
My last question seemed to has answerer's revolved around one thing hopefully this will be different.
Anything out there?
P.S.
I don't want someone to preach to me about the bible (irrelevant) i want actual helpful answers please.
Ive been researching wit craft up down and inside out for 2 days. Most of it is not evil. They look to the five elements and the God and Goddess as Christians would look to God to answer our prayers. If your going to act like a smart ass then I DON'T WANT YOUR OPINION!
Once again: NO Magick doesn't work like that. There are no spells that are going to create fire in front of you or heal a wound magically as if it weren't there. Maybe you should actually research what Witchcraft is before you start asking questions like this.
I doubt you will get a decent answer from this lot :P I know how you feel.
Either a random witch who knows the answer will find your question (which is very unlikely) or you will have to do independent research on this subject.
There's no such witchcraft that will create a fire or heal a small wound within minutes.
There is healing.
There is your wish (your intent).
But the way you're viewing it isn't at all what witchcraft is about.
Being a witch and practicing is a way of life. It isn't something you decide (example: let me do a spell and voila). You become one with it. It IS your life. It IS who you are.
What you do, you do for others. To help, guide.
Edit: Witchcraft isn't about the God & Goddess. That is Wicca, a religion which you MAY practice witchcraft or you may NOT.
Witchcraft can be practiced in different religions. This isn't about acting smart. This is about actually knowing what it entails. 2 days isn't anything. I've been a witch since I can remember (and my memory goes from 3 years old and on) and yes, I learn new things everyday. Never assume you think you know all. Because the truth is, no one does
OK I'm not gonna say witchcraft is evil like most people would CZ I'm a witch a healthy religion for you would be Wicca not that i know of, and magi ck can accomplish something that cant be accomplished in real life (if you think different then you've watched to many movies) and all spells require at least one natural element
Spells are exactly the same as prayer but more realistic. In spells, you are more likely to change your perspective of things rather that bring about actual physical change.
And as for the uneducated people who think witchcraft is evil, they need to wise up. Witches hurt nobody.
No religion is evil in itself. Some religions recognize a duality of good and evil; others do not. Some people do not believe in good and evil. If you do believe in good and evil, then people of any religion whatsoever can be good or evil.
Witchcraft is neither good nor evil. It may be practiced with positive or negative intent. Witches are not necessarily religious at all, and may believe in any religion or none.
It is important to realize that you are not going to get easy answers to these questions. You need to read wide and deep.
There's no such thing as an evil religion, first of all.
Spells are like prayers, and like a focusing you your intention to create change in your life. They will often work quickly and significantly, but they will NEVER create fire before your eyes, or heal a wound in minutes.. Spells work in accordance with nature and its laws (the 5 elements you refer to), not against the rules of nature and physics.
Working with the 5 elements also means working with all parts of YOUR being, in balance- mind, body, spirit, emotions, will. This means that a spell doesn't work just by you saying a little rhyming chant over some stones and candles.. you need to create change on all levels of your being. You need to change your perspective, change how you feel about something, set your will to your intention, make practical efforts in the real world, AND direct energy.
Do all that, and your spells will work wonders.. but all that is a lifetime of spiritual practices, every day, and it doesn't happen with a wave of a wand or magi ck words, like in Harry Potter.
This is part of the difference between seeing Witchcraft is a religion, rather than as a party trick.
Wicca and Paganism is not evil, but nor is it particularly good. It is a group of people that practice a religion different from others. They are isolated by mainstream religions for various reasons but also by the general public because the public cannot understand. If they don't try to understand, they will most likely develop a fear which stretches to homophobia. Abrahamic religions in particular hate them because they associate it with Satan, when in fact a devil has nothing to do with it. Christianity's idea of spiritual warfare can be seen as a kind of psychological and emotional bullying that sprouts from fascism.
I wouldn't say it's possible to conjure fire with magic, or to instantly heal a wound... that's the stuff of Hollywood. Real magic is more subtle than that. You can encourage healing, and maybe speed up the process... but if you cut your arm off, you're not going to be able to reattach it in 5 seconds, ha ha!
There is a traditional spell that comes from Pennsylvania Dutch magic, I think, to stop the flow of blood. You apply pressure to the wound and repeat the following until the blood stops:
"Holy Mary, Mother of God, who stopper the pain and stopper the blood. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost."
To stop a headache, you can say:
"Tame thou flesh and blood, as our Lady tames the lion."
Or another common American folk magic spell to provide immediate relief from a headache or backache is to pray Psalm 3 over a small quantity of olive oil, and anoint the forehead with it.
There are many good sources on superstitious beliefs about what witches can do... Find yourself a good superstition dictionary for that. The book "Cross Your Fingers, and Spit in Your Hat" has a good section on witchcraft, even a belief on how to "become" a witch. But keep in mind that it's just folklore from non-witches, so it has to be taken with a grain of salt. Another interesting book I read once was "The Witch's Broomstick Manual," which explains how to make a witch's broom (a besom) and learn to fly it. Totally hokey, but it was written by an occultist, and it's a pretty fun read.
If you'd like to check out some traditional spells for various common ailments, take a look at "Pow-Wow: The Long Lost Friend," "Secrets of the Psalms," and/or "Powers of the Psalms." These are all about traditional American folk magic, used in both Pennsylvania Dutch magic and African American Hoodoo, both of which Prue-date Wicca. Another interesting book on traditional non-Wiccan witchcraft which isn't so Judeo-Christian centered is "The Modern Witch's Spellbook." It's got a lot of love magic in it though. "The Crone's Book of Words," and the "Crone's Book of Spells and Charms" are also pretty good, but I think they're more intended to be entertainment than anything of practical use.. the author was a very talented poet, and wrote children's books.
*Btw, I'm not trying to discredit Wicca, by giving other sources... Just pointing out some older traditions of witchcraft that predate the paganGanligion. Traditional witches don't necessarily worship the God and Goddess, and might adhere to pretty much any religion
