That's a complicated answer. There are people who practice witchcraft, but I personally do not believe it really works. Being religious, I believe that practicing witchcraft is wrong, and that if anything DOES come of it, it is coming from Satan, even if the person is not intentionally calling upon Satan. That is just MY opinion. It doesn't have to be anyone Else's.
However, to many other religions (particularly pagan religions), they do not view witchcraft as evil, but just as something natural. They believe that their actions create results, or are blessings from their gods.
So, all in all, your opinion on witchcraft depends on your religious views, I believe. Regardless, there ARE people who perform witchcraft though. However, it isn't "Harry Potter" kind of magic. For me, witchcraft is hooey, but that's based on my beliefs. I do not believe that human being have the power to perform magic, but that any magic is a result of the devil and demons. Again, this is a PERSONAL opinion, like you asked.
Luna: That BY FAR the most ridiculous thing I have EVER heard. Making tea is not witchcraft at ALL. Witchcraft is the act of knowingly attempted to conjure, perform magic, speak to the dead, perform spells, etc. Making tea is mixing an herb simply for nutritional purposes. Unless you are going to use that tea to perform a spell, there is nothing magical about it.
@TwistedT: I can see where you are coming from with your last comment. However, according to Abrahamic religions, witchcraft is based on performing your own personal spells and rituals to what they refer to as "false gods." Witchcraft in Christianity is referring to depending on either your own spells or by calling on false gods instead of God, which is why praying to God isn't considered witchcraft according to Christianity. I suppose that from a non-Christian standpoint, it would be, though.
