Default Is Harry Potter evil according to the Christian faith? Because of witchcraft?

Are there Christians that find Harry Potter not suited for children?
According to someone I know Christians don't like Harry Potter because its a bad influence on their children. They are inclined to start using witch craft. Is this true?
So JK Rowling is a bad christian. Is she sinning for introducing kids to witchcraft?

All Christians need to be locked up in a mental hospital, simple as that.

As a devout Christian. I don't believe Christians should patronize Harry Potter movies or books. As it glorifies the usage of witchcraft. If you think witchcraft is not a problem. I would suggest you check out the witchcraft section of any Barnes and Noble or Borders book store and see just how popular these sections have become since this movie and or it's books have been made popular by those purchasing or patronizing them.

I've heard of many Christians who feel this way. Other Christians believe it is harmless.

There's a lot of Christians who think it's bad because of the whole witchcraft thing. To be honest, it's just an expanded version of the stereotypical take of witches---potions, magic words, etc etc. It doesn't come close to what real witchcraft is.

Just stop listening to the Christians who say Harry Potter is evil. These are the same nut jobs who claim the devil is in rock music, Pokemon is a tool of evil, and any other religious belief (even other Christian faiths) are satanic.

They've cried wolf far too many times and no rational person takes them seriously anymore.

There are some Christians who believe Harry Potter is evil and goes against the Christian faith. A Catholic head teacher once banned the books from her primary school (which I thought was ridiculous). However, most Christians don't think it's "evil" because of witchcraft. I'm a Christian, and I LOVE the series, and all my Christian friends do too. There are even plenty of priests who are Harry Potter fans.
