Yezidis do not have to be of Kurdish ethnicity. Being Yezidi is mainly a religion. Most of the Yezidis in Iraq live in the northern part of Iraq with the Kurds however, they mainly migrated that way because the Kurds excepted them more then any other group here in Iraq.
