Default How do i have a strong atheist's heart? Zoroastrianism?

I dint want to believe in religions with a hell. However, there is one religion which strikes me.
Zoroastrianism. It was founded by a prophet who spoke to God. He was the first monotheist. He had great impact on many religions such as Christianity and Judaism.
However, i came across this interesting site.
http://www.avesta.org/zfaq.html

If you scroll down on Evolution,

Evolution
"How is existence brought about? Just as one substance is evolved out of another according to its own laws and in the finite time (fixed for it.)" (Dk4.46)

This is what it says. Now, i believe in evolution. For the priests to know of this in the 10Th century is remarkable. This is not the sayings of the prophet himself but of some priests 2000 years later. Zoroaster born 1200BC.

Is this a coincidence? I believe in evolution. However, i dint know if the scripture means literally what it says or something different.

Your thoughts?

1) I'm gonna bet only modern translations have the word "evolved" in them. That means the word was disingenuously added there after wards to make it look as if they had been talking about it all along.
2) Evolution doesn't include the philosophical concept of "substance" so that could hardly be talking about evolution.
3) That a bunch of dudes in capes claimed stuff thousands of years ago does NOT mean they actually had any basis for their claims. Even if the position they espoused ended up being correct.
4) You cannot believe in evolution. You either accept it based on the overwhelming evidence for it or you don't accept it.
5) "Not a coincidence" does not mean "kettledrum" or that some other supernatural influence was involved. Frankly from a probabilistic perspective, it would be much more of a coincidence is no ancient belief systems mentioned anything similar to evolution.

It isn't that remarkable.
Evolution is obvious really, just as it is obvious that the Earth is a sphere.

The only reason people didn't realize it sooner was because they had already been given a religious answer, so didn't bother to look at the world around them.

If Zoroastrianism involves a god of some kind then it is wrong.

The quote is actually quite accurate, but if they feel a need to add an invisible 'person' that thinks like a human to nature... then they are ignoring their own explanation.

Zoroastrianism is a fascinating religion to study, so is Prue-Zoroaster Mazdaism.

There are no gods though.
