That's where monotheism came from. The Old Testament was actually polytheistic it was just translated to fit the monotheistic beliefs, at least in most places.

Zoroastrianism was the beginning of Pan-Arabic Monotheism. Many Zoroastrian aspects and myths were adopted by Judaen Monotheism (later to become the Jews). Christianity was bore out of Judaism.

I thought they were almost one in the same save some name changes...although Christianity should have kept the old name...it's cooler sounding.

They're Sun God cults. Mithras and Osiris are also sun god cults. The main tenant of these cults is, they establish male dominance over religious attitudes. Usually pagan practices an equality and balance between a God and a Goddess, these religions discount the Goddess and the feminine side of all Creation.
Also too, the Zorastor story is basically the Jesus story, and the Zoroastor story is the Mithras story and the Osiris story.
