You'd have to ask Queen front man Freddie Mercury and other modern Zoroastarians. It's not like the religion of Zoroaster is dead or anything... it's still a living, breathing faith.

It bears a strong resemblance to 'Mithraism'.

Judaism after Babylon was strongly influenced by Zoroastrianism. Christianity is a continuation of Judaism that incorporated practices from many other religions; Zoroastrianism, Roman, Egyptian, Norse and Gnosticism plus Greek philosophic speculation. And any other religions that Christians came in contact with, particularly before 400 CE. No one of these alone is equivalent to Christianism.

They have certain shared aspects, but the same can be said of most religions. Zoroastrian Heaven/Hell God/Devil dualities are very comparable to those in Christianity.

It is a confabulation of several different ideas, a bit of Essene mysticism here, a dash of Noe-platonic philosophy there. Quite a mess in fact!

If the bible is correct, then all religions started in the garden of Eden. Zoroastrianism is merely an off shoot of the truth like every other false practise in the world today.
